"You don't think that he would do something like that?"

Kasey folded her arms and leaned back into the passenger seat as Karl drove her to the airport. How they got into a discussion about Zachary, neither of them knew.

"The man is fucking wild. There's no way he wouldn't take Miles to Alaska." Karl chuckled, turning the steering wheel towards the terminal. "Looks like we're here."

He stopped the car and Kasey jumped out, not waiting for him to open the car door for her. Karl also got out of the car, where she was leaning on the trunk.

"Thanks for letting me crash at your place this weekend."

"You're welcome here anytime." Karl winced as he pulled her suitcase out of his car to hand to her. He tried to disregard everything that had happened over the weekend. Kasey took the suitcase and set it down, heading towards the gates.

"Are you in a rush?" Karl asked, slightly bewildered.

Kasey looked at her watch. "My flight is about to board."

She let go of her suitcase and walked up to him and threw her arms around his neck. "I'm seriously going to miss you. Thank you for taking me out."

"I'll see you soon, Kasey." Karl leaned down and kissed Kasey on the cheek before giving her one last smirk and turning around and leaving.

Kasey stood right where he had left her and watched him leave. Something was off. She did something wrong.

"Fuck me." She turned away, grabbing her suitcase and speed walked to the gates.
