Dad pulled into Binford, North Dakota rodeo grounds. I could tell this was going to be fun. As soon as dad had pulled in he let me drive. I backed it in smoothly and let dad unhitch it before he let me go get us something to eat. I backed back up to the trailer after returning. I got out spotting someone I wish I didn't see.

I turned the speakers on and plugged my phone in. For some reason truck yeah decided to play. Dad hit the expand letting me put the bracings on. I got on top fixing the satellite dish. Then went in to check. It didn't take us long to set up. Right before it was time I got ready for the night. Gimme eight seconds started playing. "Go to the ring I'll meet ya there." Dad said. I nodded once before walking over.

Several said hi as I passed. I spotted Flint wanting to give him crap. "Yo Flint." I yelled as crossfire came on. "What's up Lacey?" He said. "Not much." I said. "What you want?" He asked. "A challenge." I said. "What kind?" He asked. "You know what kind Rasmussen." I said. He started it. I easily challenged him. Bull ridin' son of a gun was next. I easily did a backflip and faked a line dance.

He then challenged back. Let's go to the PBR was after that. I copied a little of Flint before doing my own. I was easy with this one. He shook his head. I slowed before picking my pace back up. He walked away saying I beat him. "Come on you always let me win." I said. He then proved me that he could dance better than me.

I stomped my foot and turned around not looking where I was going. I ran into someone. "Knew you weren't shy." He said. Crap. I tried to get around him. He was only four inches taller than me. "Excuse me." I said. "Why?" He asked. I want to talk to you." "I. I need to get over to the the chutes." I said stuttering a bit. "I'll see you later then?" He asked. "M. Maybe?." I said.

He let me go knowing I was on the medical team. If I was already eighteen I would be flirting back. He's over twenty one! I watched all night long as bull riders went to and from the MC. Once it was over I went back and got my bedclothes on before crawling into my bed. I know he's trying to flirt and I would be giggling flirt back if I was older.

Cody

I don't know what's wrong with me. When I try to be nice she brushes it off. She goes shy around me but no one else. Just might ask about her. I know she's Tandy's daughter and everything. The way she's trying to avoid me makes me want to see her more. I did my best to ride tonight.

Lacey

Tulsa overlooked the BOK center. Dad got out as I did. I walked in and followed him to the clinic. "Make sure we have everything." Dad said. I went through the supplies making sure we had plenty for tonight. Four more months. Once that was done dad had me go get us food. It was about to start as I returned. We downed our food before getting our shirts on.

All summer I've awkwardly ran into Cody. I already feel something between us and am scared it won't last until I turn eighteen. I sat up on the railing watching. When Cody rode I didn't pay much attention. As it went on I was quiet wanting to be invisible from one person in particular. I saw the bull before I was pulled from my seat and flush against someone.

"You can't be getting lost in your thoughts when there's two thousand pound, unpredictable bulls out in that ring." I hung my head at who it was. "Your dad won't be too nice when he sees you back there in the clinic instead of a bull rider." He said. "Especially when he's told the reason." He stood up setting me on my feet. "Stay clear of the fence." He warned. I nodded as he released his grip.

He walked away back behind the chutes. Great! Scolded. And I fell for him even more.

Does anyone have a guess on who the guy is?
