Chapter 9-
Skylar had the same expression and was unaware of her surroundings.. I've waved my hand in front a few times but there wasn't any response. I saw that there was a candy store nearby, so I went out to buy some. I'm pretty sure she won't notice that I've been gone until I return.
So I bought some Australian candy along with cookies which was all her favourites. I went back to Baskin Robbins and she still had the same expression.
" Larrrrryy, are you okay?" I asked. She hates it whenever I call her that since it's a guy's name and well, she's clearly a girl.
" Hmm, yeah, and hey, don't call me that!" She said and smacked my arm. I gave her a cheeky smile and asked if she was gonna join while handing her the stuff I brought.
" Thanks," She said and gave me a kiss on my cheek,"I mean, I wanna, and it is an opportunity I won't get everyday, but..."
" But what?"
" I'm not sure if I'm ready to handle criticisms from people, especially your fans." She said while eating candy.
" Well, I know it's easier said than done, but try to ignore the hate, if you give them the response they want, like letting it get to you, they're just gonna throw shade at you even more. That's how I handle them at least, and don't worry, cause I'll be here for you whenever you need me." I said and smiled, taking her cold hands into mine.
" You're right." She smiled. It's the smile that gave me motivation to move on whenever times get hard.
