To Weep Is Not Weak

Why do we admire those who show no empathy, than those who have the most? Why do we admire the stone hearted and see them strong, when they are too weak to support the burden of emotions? Those who are dead inside cannot feel the pain of others, and those full of life recognise the pain and hardship in the littlest, most irrelevant of circumstances. One without empathy, has no soul, they are the living dead. The living dead will not feel pain in harming others, but the living souls shall feel pain within themselves every time they see it inflicted onto another. It is how we are connected, how we have evolved. We have slowly over the ages recognised the pain of the minority, those who have been discriminated against, those we were unjust to. Laws have changed, slavery abolished, rights gained, because of reason and empathy. Feeling someone else's sorrow is not weakness, it is our greatest strength and it is the reason for our accomplishments. Do not shame those who feel more than others, because they are the better part of the human race, and shall be the cause of a better world.
