A Horrific Day

My best friend and the love of my life are fighting for their lives. Sean along with Emma got shot a couple of hours ago, why did this happen? When I thought today was going to go amazing it all came crumbling down. Abigail and I are in the waiting room of a private hospital waiting to hear about Sean and Emma. We used false identities due to our jobs but that wasn't much of importance now.

I looked back at Abigail and she looked destroyed. Her face was pale, she looked like she had just died. I tried to comfort her but she kept pulling away from me. I know what she's going through, but I will keep my distance and let her be. That's when I get a call letting me know that my dad, is in this hospital and apparently had survived. I scoff.

That's when I get a notification from Natasha saying that in two hours I will be arrested, so she gave me a warning so I could run and hide. I sigh. I knew that was going to happen. That's when the doctor comes. "Relatives of Jennifer and Robin?" Abigail and I stood up.

"Follow me." We nod and followed him to a room. We walked in and we see Sean and Emma laying done on the beds with breathing tubes in their mouths. "Now miss Lana, Robin suffered loss of oxygen to his brain, and along with the gunshot wounds, his body couldn't handle it so we induced a coma." I gasp along with Abigail.

"In three days we will try to wake him up but there is no guarantee he will wake up and if he does if he will remember anything." Abigail bursts out into tears. I go up to her and hug her. "Colin this is so unfair." I caress her head and sigh. "I'm sorry Lana, I truly am." That's when the doctor calls out to me. "Now for miss Jennifer."

"I am so sorry to say this but due to the impact of the gunshot she lost the baby." I gasp. "What?" She nods. "You didn't know she was pregnant?" I shook my head. "No I didn't know." That's when Abigail walks up to me. "She was going to surprise you tonight, she wanted to tell you that you were going to be a father." I gasp as I hear Abigail say this to me. I look back at Emma and I start to cry.

I was going to be a father, yet my own father killed my unborn child and my love is fighting for her life. I walk up to Emma and I kiss her forehead. "Oh my love I am so sorry, but we can try again." That's when the doctor sighs. "I am so sorry but Jennifer can't have children, her uterus cannot sustain a fetus anymore." My heart broke. "What?" He nods.

"I'm sorry there was just too much damage. We managed to save as much as we could but she cannot bear a child." My heart broke. Emma will be destroyed when she hears this well if she wakes up. "Ok if that was her only issue why is she with a breathing tube." He sighs.

"We lost her on the table, three times as a matter of fact and just like Robin we induced a coma so we can let her body heal." I gasp. "We don't know when Jennifer will wake up." Tears were just rolling down my face. I couldn't believe what was happening. Abigail looks at me and she is horrified. "Colin..." I nod.

The doctor walks away and I fall to the floor and began to sob. My love is never going to wake up and it's all because of my father. I look at Sean then back at Emma, I knew who was the one to blame, my father. I get up and Abigail gives me a concerned look. "Killian what are you going to do?" I felt such anger stir up inside me and I snapped. "Kill my father." She gasps. "Killian..."

I scoff. "Look Abigail, my father is the one to blame for all this, and besides I'm going to be an outlaw, please take care of Emma for me, if she ever wakes up tell her that I love her and that I will be seeing her soon." She nods. "But of course let me know if she wakes up." She nods. "Killian be careful." I nod and walked away.

I make my way to his room and that's when Natasha tells me that agents are 5 minutes away from the hospital. I get to his room and I look at him. My dad never loved me and he always ruined my life. I was a mistake to him but if he only knew that I was going to be his undoing. I get a pair of scissors and cut the oxygen cable. That's when I hear him starting to choke.

I turn off the machine and I see him shaking. I am not a killer but I will seek vengeance on the man who killed my unborn child, and sent my best friend and my love to a coma. He opens his eyes and gasps. "Remember me father, it's Killian." He shakes his head and tries to reach for the nurse button. I take it away and chuckle. "You see I think it's a good idea to see you drift away into nothing, that's your price to pay for what you did to me." He chuckles as he's still gasping for air.

"Goodbye father," I say as I hear his monitor flat line. That's when I hear footsteps coming from down the hall. I open the window and tied a wire to the window sill and made my way down. I look up and all the agents were staring down at me. I then ran into the nearby forest and disappeared into the night.

Who would have known that my birthday was going to be the most horrific day in my entire life.
