The day we walked away from each other
The plans of the universe were denied
We fell into the sky
As gravity blew us a million miles high
Sunflowers burst into bloom
Planted in the dark depths of the sea
North gave South the cold shoulder
And faced West instead
Forests burned blue
And the sun turned green with envy
Hard as rock, coal dust clumped in our throats
While diamonds shattered under our feet
Roses chased the stars out of the sky
Forcing their light to take root on the ground instead
We filled our lungs with emptiness
As oxygen turned into our poison
The day we walked away from each other
My heart was already running back to you
