The day we walked away from each other
The plans of the universe were deniedWe fell into the sky
As gravity blew us a million miles highSunflowers burst into bloom
Planted in the dark depths of the seaNorth gave South the cold shoulder
And faced West insteadForests burned blue
And the sun turned green with envyHard as rock, coal dust clumped in our throats
While diamonds shattered under our feetRoses chased the stars out of the sky
Forcing their light to take root on the ground insteadWe filled our lungs with emptiness
As oxygen turned into our poisonThe day we walked away from each other
My heart was already running back to you
