Guanlin is such an idiot. Did he really think i would let this affect our friendship?
After that, the lesson went on just like normal- with me and Guanlin whispering and giggling occasionally. Thank god.
Soon, it was the end of school.
' Hey, i have to go. I have a family dinner. See you tomorrow!' Guanlin said to me, smiling.
' Oh okay, bye! See you tomorrow.' I smiled back at him.
And then he left. And i got ready to walk home.
' Hey, Jieun.' Daniel said.
' Hey, Daniel. Aren't you going to go home?' I greeted him, smiling.
' Nope. I was thinking. Remember that day where we were planning to go to the convenience store but ended up not going? I'll make up for it, today. If you're free, I'll treat you to some good food.' Daniel said to me.
' Sure! I have nothing to do anyway.' I said to him.
' Let's go then !' Daniel said to me, smiling.
[ Daniel's POV ]
I brought Jieun to this restaurant that served really tasty tteobokki, since Jieun loves tteobokki.
' Mmm, this is so good, i swear.' Jieun said to me, while eating.
' It's good, right? I love this place.' I said to her.
' Hey. What do you call a cheese that's not yours?' Jieun asked me.
' Huh?' I was confused.
' Nacho cheese! ' She then said and laughed for a long time.
She looked so cute.
I sighed to myself, suddenly remembering what happened in the afternoon.
A few hours earlier when i was heading to the washroom,i overheard Guanlin and Jieun's conversation. The worst part is, I overheard the last part too. ( ' I like you too, Guanlin.' )
How i wish i hadn't.
[ Jieun's POV ] * play the song while you read this part!! *
After an intense session of eating and talking, Daniel insisted on walking me home. So here we are, walking on the streets.
' Hey, Jieun. Do you have someone you like?' Daniel asked me. I was taken aback by his sudden question.
' Er- well, yeah I guess. ' I replied him.
' Ahh, I see.' Daniel smiled.
' Why? Is there a girl you like too?' I asked him, grinning.
' Well.. yeah. There's this one girl. She's completely amazing. Whenever I see her, I smile in a second and my day immediately just gets better. '
' When I think of her, I get butterflies. And whenever we talk, I wish I could stop time.'
' But the thing is, she's not mine. And I don't think she'll ever be. ' Daniel said, smiling with this sad expression on his face.
[ Daniel's POV ] ' Hey, what's with that face? What do you know? She might like you back too. I'm pretty sure with your looks and your great personality, you could get any girl.' Jieun said to me, smiling.
Any girl but you, Jieun.
' Mm, maybe.' I said to her.
' Oh, we're here already. Thanks for today, Daniel. I had lots of fun. ' Jieun thanked me, smiling.
' Let's go back there again next time. It's late, you should head inside. See you tomorrow, Jieun. ' i said to her, smiling.
' Okay. See you tomorrow!' She said to me cheerfully, and soon went inside.
I sighed to myself.
Not many people can take my breath away, but you don't even have to try.
