Cassian looked around confused. ....New home?

A big guy with brownish-blonde hair came to them. Cassian went to hold Mr. Andoft's hand.

"Hey General, who is this little guy?" He asked. What language was that? The Festan boy looked at the man.

"Oh, Sean, this is Cassian Andor. I found him where the explosion was in the North." Andoft responded.

The guy Sean, or at least as Cassian understood, bent down to him. "Hi little one."

"Sean, he doesn't understand what you say. I told you he's from the North."

"Well at least he can shake my hand, am I right?" He said looking for a few seconds up to Andoft, but his haze returned to Cassian. "Sean." He said, offering his hand. The Festan boy looked in Sean's eyes a little, then went to shake his hand.

"Cassian."

Sean stood up and smiled. "Should I show him the other guys?"

"No, don't worry. I'll do it since I'm one of the only people here who knows Festan. I'm gonna learn him Basic soon." Andoft said. He took Cassian's hand again.

"Okay General. I'll go back to training." Sean said and he ran where more guys where. A guy put his hand on Sean's back and went into another room.

"Sìgueme." Cassian nodded. Andoft stepped in front of him and the two of them went further into the building.

As he walked, Cassian realized he was the only kid there. All the others where tall and big. And him? He was small and skinny. He put his hoodie over his head and just followed the shoes of Mr. Andoft. In that moment, all that Cassian wanted was to go back home into his mother's arms. He knew they were waiting for him. He imagined how they were waiting for him to come back home in front of his house. How his father would pick him up and swing him around like the ships that were flying over the village. They were waiting for him. He knew it.

After he blinked, Cassian realized that he couldn't see Mr. Andoft's shoes anymore. He took his hoodie off and looked around.

Mr. Andoft wasn't there.

He could see other men walking down the halls, but none of them was Mr. Andoft.

Cassian started running down the hallway, looking for Mr. Andoft. "Señor Andoft?" He asked. No response. Cassian then took a left. He still couldn't see him. He looked up at the men's faces, but something hit him and he fell on the floor. His nose and knees hurt.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't want to push you!" A voice said. It wasn't a man's voice. More like a boy's one.

Cassian stood up and looked at the boy's face. "You seem lost. Can I help you?" Cassian didn't respond. "Hey I'm talking to you."

"No entiendo." He said. "¿Y por qué me empujaste, eh?" Cassian took a step to the boy and pushed him a little.

"So you want to do it this way, don't you?" The boy responded and took a step forward to Cassian. "I am not afraid of you." He said.

"Hey, hey, what's going on here?" Cassian recognized that voice.

"Oh, Ge-General Claw!" The boy said and jumped back from Cassian. "This dude wanted to start a fight! I told him that I'm sorry that I pushed him, but-"

"Liam, he's from the North. He doesn't understand you." Mr. Andoft said, then sighed. "Liam, go to the others."

"Yes, General." The boy said and ran down the hallway.

"Cassian, coge my mano. No quiero problemas." Mr. Andoft said. Cassian nodded and took his hand. They soon were back walking further into the base.

"¿Dónde voy a dormir?" Cassian asked.

"Dormirás en los baños comunes como el resto. No eres más especial que ellos." Andoft said. Cassian sighed and looked down. It was true.

They soon arrived to the restroom. Andoft guided Cassian to an empty bed. "Esto es tuyo." The Festan boy sat on it. "La cena es dentro de una hora."

And with that, Cassian was left alone.

The night came slowly. Cassian barely ate something. He just wanted to go home. But this was his new home. He sighed slowly and pulled the bed sheets tighter around him.

On his left, a guy was snoring. He started up at the ceiling as his eyes started to close slowly.

Cassian was back in his mother's arms. She sang a lullaby to him so he could fall asleep.

Her voice was sweet. He could see his father standing in the doorway.

"Te queremos, Cassian." She said and kissed his forehead.

"Te queremos, Cassian." The gas started to come into the house from the floor.

"¡Mama! ¡Papá!" Cassian was screaming while they both fell to the ground.

Cassian woke up with his cheeks wet. Around him Sean, the boy that pumped into him and other guys were looking at him.

"¿Donde está mi madre?" Cassian asked, his voice shaking. Sean turned around.

"Get the general here. He's the only one who knows Festan." A guy stood up and nodded, then ran out of the room.

Cassian felt embarrassed. He was in the middle of the attention. The only thing he could do was pull the sheets up to his nose. The men nodded and each went back to his bed. Sean was the only one to remain. He didn't look at Cassian. He looked at his hands which where resting on the bed. An awkward silence filled the room.

A few minutes later, the door opened and Mr. Andoft entered. He walked straight to Cassian and picked him up from the bed. Sean looked up at him. "General-"

"You've scared him enough. Now every one of you, back to rest. You're gonna be up earlier today because of that transport." Andoft replied and left the room with Cassian in his arms. The kid buried his head into Andoft's shoulder and small hiccups shook his body.

They entered a room down the hallway and Andoft sat on the bed still with Cassian in his arms.

"Les echo de menos." The Festan boy's shaky voice said.

"Yo también les echo de menos." Cassian looked at Andoft. "Yo les conocí. Tu madre era... tu madre era preciosa y tu padre era un hombre agradable. Eran la pareja más hermosa que he visto." He smiled. "Ahora deberías de ir a dormir." Andoft said and placed a kiss on Cassian's forehead. The kid slowly closed his eyes. Andoft smiled as he felt him fall asleep.
