This has to be one of the best parts of my job. Surgery was excellent, the tumor was removed, and Noah is stable. It's been ten days since his collapse and four since his surgery. He has eaten, gone to the bathroom, made countless jokes, and played me approximately three-thousand songs. He's ready to go home.

I have mixed emotions about him leaving. Obviously, I don't want him to stay in the hospital, or be sick. But I will miss him not being here. It's just us now, sitting in his room, soaking in the last few minutes of the day.

"You saved me, ya know," Noah whispers. I look up to find his deep blue eyes watching me carefully. "If you hadn't been there, I wouldn't have made it."

"Noah, you don't know that," I tell him.

"I do know that," he says with finality. He picks up my hand and holds it in his own. "This whole thing has been like a damn movie." He laughs.

"What do you mean?"

"In the last ten days you have saved my life twice, become one of my best friends, and made Hudson Steele fall in love." He laughs. "I never thought I would see that happen."

"No one fell in love," I tease adjusting in my seat.

"Would you change it?" he asks.

"Change what?" I counter, turning my head towards him.

"Any of it...everything that's happened."

He isn't asking about "everything" that has happened. He's asking about Hudson.

Everything I thought I knew was at risk the day we met. My once firm belief anyone could choose, or not choose, to be in a relationship was proven wrong the second he said hello. And I've fought him every step of the way.

I didn't mean for this to happen, but it did. And given the chance, I would do it all the same. "No, I wouldn't," I say.

"You're gonna give him a chance, right?" Noah asks. "He's a good guy. I shouldn't have to tell you that."

"You don't."

"What's the worst that could happen?"

"Um, I get murdered by a bunch of fan-girls," I semi joke.

"Come on, you know you could take them," he teases. "What is really the worst that could happen?"

"He leaves."

The words fall out before I think them and I instantly wish I could take them back. I've become more honest with Noah in the last week then I have with myself. I don't have to explain what I mean, he already knows. He pulls my hand to his lap and holds it in both of his own..

"I don't think that will happen," he says, bending to meet my eyes. "But I think it would be worth the risk because do you know what the best that could happen is?"

"What's that?" I ask.

Noah smiles. "You fall in love with someone who would do anything and everything to make you happy."

Loud footsteps approaching from down the hall halts our overly sentimental moment. Jessica walks in likes she's just hiked a mountain. "This is our last night, right?" she asks.

"I thought you were filming!" Noah says, excited by her arrival.

Jessica shrugs and sits in her usual chair. "I couldn't miss our last night. What are we talking about?"
