Chapter 10: The Runaway

Mia's POV

How can I be so impulsive and imprudent!?

Shame on you Mia! You should have known better! You should have known that from the start, Brent will never love you neither like you! You're so stupid Mia! So stupid for falling in love with the person you barely even know! Now you're the only one who's crushing from the inside. He doesn't even care for what you're feeling right now. Shame on you Mia! Shame... Shame on me. *sigh*

I want to cry but my eyes just won't let them out. My eyes are automatically holding them back, and my mind says that i should not cry because i don't deserve this. My heart is broken. The man i love broke my heart and torn it into pieces. I don't want to see him anymore! I don't want him to see how pathetic i look right now. He might just laugh at me.

I was taken aback from my deep thoughts when my best friends speak up.

"Mia, are you sure with this?" Piper said.

"You know, you don't have to do this." Alice also spoke up.

They're both watching me as i pack up my stuff. Yes! You read it right! I'm packing up my things because i want to go somewhere far far away from here. I wan't to forget him already. If I fell in love with him instantly, then maybe i can also forget him in just one snap! I'm going to a small town place where less people and and uncivilized yet. I'm going to stay and live there as a normal person without worrying about my luxurious life.

"I know you guys are worried and I really really appreciate that, but you know guys how upset i am right now. Don't worry guys! I wouldn't be gone for too long. I just want to unwind myself a bit. I never really had a time for myself, and maybe this is the right time." I said making the tone of my voice sounds convincing.

There's still hesitation in their eyes, but then faded and smiled at me as if they trust me a hundred percent, and I thank them for that. They've always been there for me. I'm really going to miss these two, and it's making me cry right now. I couldn't help it.

"I'm going to miss you two!" I said in a quavering voice. I'm holding back my tears, and i swear to God it's really hard to hold onto.

"We're going to miss you Mia our baby" they both said to me. " Eeeh! Stop with the baby!" I said in a fake irritated tone. And we just laughed as if there's no problem at all.

I'm at the bus station with Piper and Alice.

"Always take good care of yourself okay? May sasalubong sayo dun pagbaba mo. Her name is Julia. She'll take care of you." Alice uttered.

"Thank you alice. I will! You guys too! Take care always! Don't worry too much okay? I'm going to be just fine. I promise!" I told them sincerely.

*Calling the passengers of Bus no. 1530! A trip from Bluefield to Olney, please get in the bus as we're ready to take off.*

"Uhmm, guys! I need to go! I'll see you soon! I love you both!" I said waving at them.

I can see that they're about to cry but can still manage to hold it back. With a smile on their lips, they waved their hands goodbye to me.

I woke up when the bus driver nudged me on my shoulder and said, "Miss andito na po tayo." I looked around the place and saw the sign "Welcome to Olney". Oh! It must be it. "Thank you" i said politely. I get off the bus and looked around once more. It is really a small town, but it is not as small as what i've expected. I like the ambiance. It looks peaceful and quiet.

"Hi ma'am! Ako po si Julia, dating katiwala po ako ni Ms. Alice at sabi po nya eh sunduin ko daw po kayo at ihatid sa tutuluyan nyo." I was surprised when i girl talked just right beside me. I turned my head facing to her, still flabbergasted.
