Melanie was running low on juice. She'd teleported all the way back, and was now resorting to creeping from hall to hall and praying nobody came around the corner. She'd only be able to teleport once, with Sam in tow.

Speaking of Sam, where even was she? Not in her room. Not in any of the labs, which were terrifying to creep through when it typically had at least one adult supervising. She didn't get caught, though. She turned back, deciding to check the art and exercise rooms, when she bumped square into nothing.

She rubbed her head and looked around, immediately alert. She had hit /something/ but no one was there.  Then, a voice. "Melanie?"

Melanie stepped back and looked around wildly. "Sam?"

Hands touched her shoulders but she could see no one. "It's me! What the hell has been going on? I've seen people getting tased and gassed and falling out of vents. There was a /gunshot/!"

"I'll tell you everything, just turn visible and I'll take you to Michael."

Sam was quiet for a second, then- "I can't. I don't know how." Melanie swore. "We'll figure it out, just hold on." She said, before grabbing Sam by the invisible shoulders and teleporting away, just as voices and running footsteps appeared down the hall.
-
John laid on his bed in his room, staring up at the ceiling and vent that was left open. He couldn't close it after falling to the ground.

Suddenly the buzzer sounds and the door swings open, three large men walking in all holding tazers.

"Where are they?" One asked, who looked like the leader. He was large, with a buzz cut head, and his veins were practically pulsing from how mad he was. John sat up on his bed.

"What?"

"Where are they at?!" John shook his head, confused.

'You are such a stupid head!' His mind told him, and he shook his head. He'll never get used to that.

"I gave them to you. I dropped them into a room right next to you." John argued, confused.

'How could you give them up?! I was trusting you!'

"They escaped. And I know you know where!"

'I had to convince them to trust you! Why would you save me if you didn't care!'

"What is Michael planning? Huh? He's the leader in all of this isn't he?"

'Now I can't reach them. I'm worried about them John! But you don't care! This was all your fault!'

"Admit it!"

'Admit it!'

"If you don't answer me I'll take it as assisting the enemy and I won't hesitate to take you down."

John suddenly heard nothing.
Everything was quiet. But one thing echoed in his head. 'Take you down.'
Very slowly, he stood, raising his hands in surrender, glaring directly at the man in front of him. Then he turned his attention to the guy closest to the door standing next to the leader. Very slowly and calculating, he spoke, and his words echoed slightly.

"Tase him." The man immediately turned, tasting the leader guy. Both men became confused, and the one who hadn't been controlled leaped at the other trying to subdue him. The one John controlled won, the other guy falling to the ground knocked out as well.

John lowered his hands, glaring at the one left standing. "Now tase yourself." He spoke, words echoing still. Then, turned and walked out of the room as he hears the man behind him get shocked, then fall to the ground.
-
Melanie appeared in a hallway. For once, it was one she recognized. They were back in the main facility. Trusting that Sam was close behind, they crept around, looking for someplace Michael might be. This wasn't very well thought out.

She heard a quiet zipping sound, and a camera turned towards her. "... Michael?" She asked. The camera moved up, then down. A nod. "Surveillance room?" She said, more of a statement than a question. They headed towards him.
-
This would be a challenge. Reggie was pretty thoroughly chained down. An alarm was going off, and he kept hearing gunshots and tasing and yelling in the background. He pulled as hard as he could against the chains. They made creaking and snapping noises.

Again, harder. A couple link broke. Again, harder. Only a couple chains were still resisting. Again, harder. He was free with a pop. He stood, throwing caution to the wind. Screw this place, I'm outta here. He stomped down the hallway. A couple people were walking by. He expected them to run, because they had seen how strong he was, but they pulled guns.

He felt a few emotions, but mostly just the urge to yell. He did, and it was so loud it almost deafened him. It /did/ deafen the people holding guns at him, though, as he watched them both drop their guns in exchange for covering their ears as they fell to the ground, unconscious or dead.

Reggie took a gun and marched on.
-
John chirped a few times, then halted a second. A sound traveled farther than it should have a rang in his ears, making him cover them and squeeze his eyes shut. He growled once it stopped, clucking his tongue loudly with his eyes still shut.

He saw them. It must be Sam and Melanie. He needs to know what is going on. He /hates/ not knowing.
He took off at a jog, turning a down a few hallways until he finally runs into them. Melanie grows angry the moment she sees him.

He expects to see Sam, he knows she's there, but he doesn't see her.
"Don't get mad at me. I was just getting back at you. It-" he hesitated, rolling his eyes, "It was petty or whatever. But right now we're in danger. Leader dude said he wanted to take me out because he assumed I was working with you. I kinda made him get knocked out for awhile so I guess I am now."

He watched her facial expressions change between confusion, rage, and fear, but he shook his head. "Look, we don't have the time to argue whether we can work on the same team. We /have/ to. To survive. Now why are you going this way?"

"Michael. He's in the surveillance room." John furrowed his brow. There would be a million guards there right now. He hummed a bit, closing his eyes.

"No. He's in the generator room."

"What?"

"Why would I lie to you Melanie?!" John yelled, growing angry. "I want to survive too! If you go to the surveillance room, you'll die."
-
"I..." Melanie pondered for just a moment. She saw the desperation in John's eyes. She could allow him to help for now, but he was no friend of hers. She took a step forward and collapsed like a sack of potatoes. She was only out for a few seconds, but John refused to let her walk. He forced her arm over his head and let her use him as a crutch.

They hobbled to the generator room.
