Requested- Jealous Spencer.
You walked into the apartment you and Spencer shared, nudging the door further open with your elbow with a few files under your arm as well as your bag. It was one a.m, you had a long day at work, however that's the sort of dedication it took being a Forensic Pathologist.
You knew Spencer would have had a long day, too, considering his job was also very demanding.
"Spencer? You home?" You called out, kicking the door closed with the heel of your foot, your free hand pushing some of the loose hair away from your face.
You looked around, setting all of the paperwork down on the coffee table perched in the middle of the small, cosy living room.
The small apartment you and Spencer owned was decorated beautifully by the both of you, with deep burgundy walls as well as beige and plum. Within the living room there was a large book shelf, shrouded with books, mostly belonging to Spencer.
Your eyes wandered over a few empty coffee cups and then onto the kitchen counter where the sugar tin was there and open.
Spencer is definitely here.
You slipped out of your shoes and walked upstairs, pushing the bedroom door open and smile when you saw him on the bed. He was lay down, arms sprawled over the bed sheets wearing just chequered pyjama pants and a grey shirt.
You walked over, a small smile spreading across your face as you seen his mop of hair tucked into the pillow.
"I know you aren't asleep," you said and gently clambered into the king sized bed, falling into the mattress beside him, draping your arm over his back.
"How was work?" You questioned, dipping your head and pressing a kiss to his shoulder over the top of the material of his shirt, awaiting his reply.
He grumbled gently, shuffling slightly and turning so his cheek pressed into the pillow, his eyes meeting yours.
You couldn't help but giggle at the sight in front of you, Spencer's hair astray over his forehead and cheeks, his coffee coloured eyes a little tired, and his lips pursed into a frown.
"Why are you home so late? And how come you didn't call me to pick you up?" He avoided your question, his gaze expectant and filled with an expression you had never really witnessed on Spencer's features.
"Work commitments and the new guy in work, I told you about him. He gave me a ride," You sighed.
"He owed me one because I picked him up yesterday morning and paid for his lunch," You explained, your fingertips pushing some of his soft locks backwards.
He huffed, turning his gaze downwards.
"You've spent a lot of time with that new guy," He informed, his voice a little higher than it usually is, he also spoke fairly quickly. More than the usual.
"Yeah, he's new. He needs someone to talk to. You know what that's like," You muttered to him, a brow raised at his suspicions.
He looked at you again before sitting up on the bed, pushing his long hair back from his face.
"You've talked about how great he is," He said, making you roll your eyes a little as you couldn't take it seriously.
"Yeah, he is great. Just like you speak about how JJ is great, how Emily and Garcia are great," You laughed.
You manoeuvred yourself over to him, wrapping your slender arms around his torso and tugging him close. You nuzzled your cheek into his shoulder, luxuriated in the smell of fabric softener and faded coffee grains.
