74th Hunger Games
Rush P.O.V
“But why do I have to stay in my room” I whined
“Rush don’t argue with me okay I’ll let you out in a bit okay” Alex said as she pushed me into the room and I heard a key lock.
I let out a groan and then threw myself onto the bed and then I sunk into the mattress, the covers like walls on either side of me.
Alex didn’t want me to see the start of the games in case Peeta died. Peeta was like my big brother he would never replace my older brother Pan, tears built up in my eyes. I felt them leak out of the corners of both my eyes as I heard the Television boom signalling that the games had started.

I felt warm hands shaking me softly, I let out a soft moan and sat up bashing heads with “ALEX” I moaned rubbing my head.
“That was your fault” Alexandra grumbled rubbing her head.
“I’m hungry” I whined as my stomach rumbled
“Alright let’s get you some food” Alex lifted me up out of bed and carried me downstairs.
“Alex I’m 10 I’m not a baby” I grumbled trying to get out of her arms
“Please Rush just act sleepy we have some guests okay, important guests” Alex whispered
I nodded and wrapped my arms around her neck and snuggled into her as we walked into the living room.
Alex P.O.V
Rush was cradled in my arms, his arms wrapped around my neck as I walked into living room.
The sponsors for Katniss and Peeta all awed at the sight of Rush.
“Isn’t he adorable” They sighed
“Not when he’s awake” I grinned
They all laughed and I sat down on the couch, Rush groaned and sat up.
“Alex I’m hungry” He whined
The Sponsors smiled and one handed him a chocolate cupcake.
Rush’s eyes widened as he stared at the chocolate cake on his hand, the warm smell wafted up my nose as Rush stared at it.
“Rush eat the dam cupcake before I eat it” I snapped
Rush stuck his tongue out at me but bit into the cupcake anyone. I giggled at Rush’s delighted expression and in the next 5 seconds the cupcake was gone.
“Would he like another” One of them asked pointing at a platter.
Rush’s eyes widened and he nodded his head but I said “No that’s enough”
Suddenly there was cruel laughter from the television. I jumped slightly and fixed my gaze the TV to see Katniss in a tree with the Careers surrounding her and Peeta with the careers.
“Alex why is Peeta with the Careers, why is he helping them kill Katniss” Rush asked his eyes wide
The capitol people looked at me with wide eyes.
What would I tell Rush.
“Um Rush” I started softly before the door opened and Haymitch walked in.
“Alex you need to come here now” Haymitch said
I nodded and stood up, kissed Rush on the forehead told Effie to keep an eyes on him and I hurried downstairs with Haymitch.
