Keith and Ashly just got done eating dinner and they were now walking around at the beach.

As they walked side by side Ashly looked up at Keith and nudged him.

"What's on your mind?"

They stopped walking and looked at each other.

"Just thinking about our first encounter and our friendship. I remember it like it was yesterday we were all getting ready to go outside for recess and you & mama Tam walked up and started talking to Mrs. Hamilton."

"Being the new kid and I hid behind mama's legs scared to move away from her."

"Yeah." They both chuckled as they reminisced.

"Then I came up to you and asked you did you want to play on the slide."

"Yeah you did, the first I noticed was your head because it was so big."

"Oh you got jokes."

"I love you though." She said after her laughing fit died down.

"Then I was thinking about our friendship all throughout our school year. You remember how everyone thought we were together just by how close we were?"

"Yeah, especially when we went together for our senior prom."

"Yeah when we left and went out to eat everybody was making such a big fuss the next day."

"Especially your boys D & Dom." Ashly chuckled making Keith smile a little bit.

Keith grabbed Ashly's hands into his and looked down at her.

"Ashly we've been friends ever since kindergarten. Besides my mom and sisters you've been the only woman in my life that I could trust and love. You've seen the good, bad, ugly and you never left my side, never turned your back on me, you've always been there for me and I thank you for that. By being my friend you've seen the girls I've dated in high school and you know what I've been through. After my last relationship before we graduated I didn't think I would ever find love again, but I found it in you."

At this moment there were tears threaten to fall down Ashly's cheeks and when she saw Keith get down on one knee the tears started rolling.

"Keith what are you-"

"Shhh. Trust me it's not an engagement ring the way both of our careers are moving I know we're not ready for marriage just yet but this this right here is a promise ring. I promise to always love, cherish, protect & respect you and to never disrespect and disappoint you. I'm your boyfriend, provider,cooker, teacher, doctor, whatever you need me to be I'll be it but most importantly baby I'm your BEST friend and I'm not going anywhere and that's a promise I'll never break."

He slid the ring on her finger and looked up at her biting his lip with anticipation waiting on her response.

Ashly looked down at him and then up at the sky taking in everything and then she bent down and kissed him passionately.

"I love you Keith Tyree Powers."

"And I love you Melissa Ashly Williams-Powers because years from now this promise ring will turn into an engagement ring."

"And I can't wait."

They kissed again and Keith stood up picking Ashly up bridal style and spun her around as they both laughed and smiled.

-After listening to Looking for Love I had to write this for my babies and give them a happy and cute moment. ☺️💕

-I almost cried while writing this and listening to the song at the same time.

-If anyone wants to know the song is called Looking for Love by Mul-ty. I'll put the song in the multimedia. Along with Good Luck Charm & Her Heart this is another one of my favorite songs and it shall be played at my wedding (that's if I still remember the song and artist)

-I truly apologize for the short chapters but as always y'all know I'll make it up to y'all with more chapters.
