Tonight was the night of Keith's kickback so I was getting ready right now as I spoke. I was meeting my girls there that way I wouldn't be arriving by myself. As I finishing the touch ups on my makeup I got a call from Keith so I answer it and put it on speaker.
"Yes Powers?"
"Meme where you at?"
"Home, why?"
"So you not coming?" He said in a panic
"Boy calm down I'm coming. I'm just finishing up my make up."
"Oh okay. Well hurry up and get here."
"Boy don't rush me I get there when I get-"
"SHUT UP AND HURRY UP!" He yelled and hung up real fast.
"Yeah he did right by hanging up." I said to myself.
I was finally done and ready to party. I sent a text to the girls saying that I was ready and was on my out the door and they replied and said okay. I grabbed my coat, purse, and snapped a pic and was on my way out the door.
I got in my Range Rover and pushed the button to start the car. Once it crunk up I hooked my phone to the AUX cord and my song "For Everybody" By Kash Doll came on and boy was I turnt.
"Let me make some shii clear

I will pull up and FIND YOU." I said getting so crunk. As I was about to go in on my favorite part Keith big headed self called me.
"WHAAAAT???"
"Aye can you stop by the store and buy three bottles of sprite. The big bottles."
"With what money Keith."
"Yo money and I'll pay you back."
"You want me to get it and pay for it to?"
"Pleaseeee."
"Bye Keith." I rolled my eyes
"I love you too meme."
"Mhmm whatever." He hung up and I drove to the gas station since I needed gas anyway. He better pay me back to because if he don't that's his ahh on the grass.
I pulled up to the gas station, got some gas and got the drinks. Before I pulled off I texted Keith and told him I got them and I want my money when I pull up.
Twenty minutes later I pulled up to his house and bayyyybeh it was packed. I got the car and stood by my can and texted Keith and told him to come get the drinks and bring a friend with him because my hands were full.
"Hey Melissa." Carmen, a girl that worked with Keith, spoke to me.
"Hey girl I love that top."
"Thanks boo."
"Woodyyyy hey boo."
"Wassup girl how you been?"
"I've been fine how bout you?"
"Same I can't complain."
"I thought you said your hands were full." Keith asked
"They are...see." I said holding my hands up with my phone and purse in my left hand and my drink in my right hand.
They rolled their eyes and got the drinks out of the back seats.
"Hey get that brown paper bag too that's down there."
Woody looked in the bag and his eyes got big "ohhh snap it's about to be littttt." He said holding the bottle half way out of the bag sticking his tongue out and rolling his neck being silly.
"Haha boy put that back in the bag and take it to the house." He took it in the house and Keith and I finally behind him.
"Who called you and told you to bring some liquor?"
"My girls they said your cabinets were dry."
"Well tell your girls to contribute next time instead of talking about me."
"Haha alright I'll tell them. Boy where yo shirt at?"
"First of all I am a man and I don't need one because this is my party and I'm grown."
"Mhmm don't say nothing if you get sick the next day." He fake coughed when I said that which made me stale face him and then he started laughing.
We walked into his house and "Mask Off" by Future was being played and then they switched it to "Both" by Gucci and Drake.

"Well look who finally showed up." I heard someone say in the kitchen.
"Hey boos!!" I said as I saw my girls in the kitchen.
"Why you so late I thought we were all going to arrive at the same time?"
"We were supposed to but Keith big headed self had my driving to the store to pick up some sprite."
"Oh you got the sprite hold up." Shy said going to the counter and pouring some Sprite into her cup.
"Giiiirl she's been waiting to put some chaser in that cup of hers." Gabby said
"I see." I laughed.
Whoever the dj was in here he was playing all the right songs. I was standing by the wall when Keith came up to me.
"Now I know you didn't come to my kickback, got all dressed up you look cute btw just to stand by this wall."
"Thank you and I haven't been standing by the wall all night. I was in the kitchen earlier."
"Oh my bad you were in the kitchen that's a big difference." He said sarcastically. "Girl if you don't come on this dance flo-"
"Hey wassup Keith." Rodney said
"Oh wassup man I'm glad you could make it."
"Yeah I needed something to do on this Saturday night. Wassup Miss. Melissa."
"Hey Rodney." I spoke
Keith smacked his lips "now she wanna get all shy."
"Shut up." I mugged him "don't you got some girl waiting for you upstairs?"
"Oh shoot I forgot dang. Aye bro I'll hit you up later." Keith said heading upstairs. Rodney laughed and nodded his head saying okay.
"Soooo Miss. Melissa how's everything been going for you?"
"Everything's been going good I just been chilling what about you?"
"I've been good working and trying to make it."
"That's good." I nodded my head and took a sip of my drink.
"So tell me something about you."
"Well my name is Melissa Ashly Williams, I'm twenty five years old, I'm original from Compton CA but I moved to L.A when I was about five or six. I like to sing and I dream of becoming a singer as of right now I'm working part time at my grandma's hair salon and I'm just enjoying life. What about you?"
"Well my name is Rodney Maurice Mitchell, I'm twenty eight, from Chicago IL, as you already know I work at footlocker and I dream of being a lawyer."
"What made you want to leave Chicago and come to L.A?"
"The weather and the environment I was around growing up was really good for me. So when I got older and had money in my pocket I hopped on a plane and now I'm here."
"Have long have you known?" He asked me
"Ugh unfortunately forever." I rolled my eyes and chuckled "when I moved to L.A I was the new kid at school and I was shy so him being him he became my first friend and we've been friend ever since. He's that annoying but also cool friend that I love having around." Rodney nodded his head. He was about to say something until Luke came in.
"Aye Mel you seen Kei-what y'all doing in here by y'all selves?"
"Minding our business what he look like?"
"You know you got one mo time getting smart I done told you." He said pointing his finger at me and fake scolding at me making me chuckle.
"I done told you." I cleared my throat and went to the counter. "Krystal come here boo we got a problem."
Krystal and the girls came in the kitchen.
"Problem?" She said with fake attitude laced in her voice.
"Oh this who you called?" Luke said pointing at her laughing "what she gon do?"
Krystal walked to them and grabbed him by the back of collar "i'ma show you what i'ma do. Now leave my girl and her friend alone." As she walked out with him she turned around and smiled which made me laugh.
A few seconds later the dj played "Lovers & Friends" by Usher.
"Oh my gosh this is my song." I said as I swayed to the beat as it came on.
"Would you like to dance?" Rodney asked me.
"Yes I would." I sat my cup in the sink because I knew I wasn't going to want it when I got done dancing and I took his hand as he led me to the dance floor.
We got on the dance floor and swayed to the music. I had my arms around his neck as his arms were around my waist. I guess Keith's lil date got made earlier because he was downstairs dancing too but it was with a different girl. I gotta tell my friend about himself.

As 1:30 hit everybody started to wind down and got ready to go home. The girls, guys and Keith were all cleaning up while I was outside talking to Rodney before he left.
"Even though we didn't do much, I still had fun with you and it was nice getting to know you."
"Same here but I don't want this to be our last time talking to each other, so how bout we switch numbers and I can plan something for just the two of us next time?"
"I like that idea." I said blushing.
"Alright cool."
We switched numbers and stood there for a minute not wanting to say goodbye until one of those big headed knuckle head boys came out of the house yelling like they was country.
"MELISSA LET THE BOY GO AND LET HIM GO HOME. Gosh y'all done said bye and switched numbers what y'all still standing fa'." Elijah said
"Elijah if you don't go sit yo butt down somewhere trying to be somebody's daddy." Briana said
My eyes got wide when E said what he said and Rodney laughed and I chuckled with him.
"So I guess I'll see you later."
"Yeah I'll see ya shawty I don't want you to get in trouble with your pops in there." He said laughing.
"Boy bye those clowns in there are not my daddy." I said, "see ya Rodney."
"See ya Mel."
I walked up towards the house and waited until he left then I went inside.
"Oh yo lil friend finally left." Algee said.
"Keith get your friends before I hurt em." I said going upstairs
Keith chuckled "do what you gotta do shawty just don't leave no blood on my floor."
