"I just don't understand Ry. Everything was going so good between us, so good. Then out of nowhere she's basically telling me we can't be together anymore and that she's done."

Ryan licked some barbecue sauce from her fingers and wiped the remaining sauce with a napkin.

"Keith, did you forget what you did?"

"But I didn't really do anything Ryan. We went out to lunch and kept in contact with each other and that's it."

"That's it?"

"That's it."

"That's it?"

"That's it."

Ryan shook her head and took a sip of her water through a straw.

"What you shaking your head for?"

"Because that's not all y'all did. I know it. Ashly know it. That girl know it. And most importantly you know it."

"But that is-"

"Keith look me in my eyes and repeat that lie again."

Keith huffed and looked in her eyes. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing would come out. He took a deep breath and opened his mouth again and got the same result.

"Mhm that's what I thought. Can't even look me in my eyes and say that lie again."

"Can we change the subject?"

"No Keith we can't. And the reason why we can't is because you hurt her and you know you did. You know everything that she's been through and yet you still chose to hurt her."

"It wasn't like I was trying to Ryan."

"I don't care if you did or if you didn't. The fact still remains that you did. You hurt her, Keith. You really did. You already know its bad when we find out that you lie & cheat, but you didn't just do that. You admitted to her that you told that girl you wanted to have a baby by her. Now if the cheating and lying isn't hurt, that right there is hurt. And that's what she feels the most.

Keith looked up at Ryan and listened to her talk.

"It's one thing to cheat on her with the girl, but it's a whole different thing when you try to involve a baby. That fact that you told her that probably brought her down so low that words can't even describe. Absolutely positively no woman-whether she's your girlfriend, fiancé or wife- wants to hear how you want a baby by someone else. It makes us feel low & insecure. We start to question ourselves and say okay "what did I do wrong? What needs to be fixed on me? Why doesn't he want me to carry his children?" And that sentence alone sticks in our heads forever until we've come to an agreement on it and decided to finally let it go."

"What can I do to fix it?"

"Fix what?"

"Us. Me & her."

"Nothing."

"Ry I'm serious."

"And so am I Keith. Now like I said nothing at all. You just have to let her come to you on her own time because if you come to her and don't give her any time & space to think and get herself together 99.9 percent you're going to get your feelings hurt."
