Chapter 7

I walked out the doors feeling the breeze on my face. The leaves swirl in the air and fly away. Lights that were on the lamppost and other lights seen from buildings. Dogs were heard barking. You can hear the beeps on the cars. The sky is pitched black. Ashlie's hair is all over the place from the wind. She's wearing a red and white striped shirt with a dark green coat with dark blue pants and low black boots.
Ashlie was nice enough to drive me back home, or probably somewhere else I'm assuming. Ashlie stands there looking ahead and turns her head to me. I get the chance to say something and say "Thanks for picking me up Ash" "Not a problem. I brought the boys with us. They seem excited to see you again" She says as she starts to walk to the car "They just saw me yesterday" I say with a grin "It seems like forever since we've seen you. Hey, is it alright if we take you out for~ Ice Cream!" She stops walking and I stopped to with her. Her smile is big as she faces me "Sure" I respond "I do have a taste for Ice Cream" "Well, Hurry up then!" She said and starts walking faster to the car and I follow only not walking faster, just moving at a normal phase thinking a bit.
We made it to the car. Ashlie made her way up the drivers seat and I went in the back behind Ashlie. As I opened the door I see Dawn up front in the passenger seat and Nick in the back behind Dawn. "Cory! You're here! I'm really glad you're back" Dawn says turning his head to me "Hey Dawn!" I said "Well Cory- Were about to do a lot of stuff with you all week" Said Nick facing me as Dawn turned his head back. "Cool" is all I say Ashlie started up the car and drove out of the parking lot. "So- What'd you wanna do tomorrow since we don't have school?" Asks Dawn "I'm not really sure" I say looking out the window "You have to know! Why don't we hang out somewhere and do fun stuff" Asked Nick "How 'bout at the beach? We can hang there and talk about stuff" Ashlie said. Last time I was at the beach was when Tommy beat the shit out of me "Sure" I shrugged and continued looking out the window. It was silent after that for at least 10 minutes. "Didn't someone at school mention a party at Bri Masses house?" Dawn asked "Yeah, I think so" Ashlie said "Are any of you guys going?" Asked Nick "I am" Responds Dawn and Ashlie "Are you going Cor?" I turn my head around to look at the others "I dunno know" "Come on! You HAVE to go! It'll be fun!" Ashlie said putting her head to the side as if going to see me "Com' on dude!" Nick says nudging me. I sigh "Alright- I guess" My eyes rolling as I smile. If I go with them I'll be alright- right? I get scared thinking what might happen if i show up to the party. Whoever sent me that note gives me the chills and it's kinds sad.. I haven't thought of what they said before and their right "Yay!" Says Dawn "You're gonna have so much fun! Trust me" Said Ashlie
We finally made it to the Ice Cream place. Ashlie parks and we all get out, walking inside the small building. Ash runs up ahead of us and looks at all of the flavors "What're you guys gonna get?!" She asked us as we walked up to her "I'm getting the turtle sundae" Dawn said "I shall! be getting Vanilla!" Says Nick "I'm getting strawberry!!" Said Ashlie excitedly "What about you Cory?!" "Mint Chocolate" I respond "That's a really good flavor!"
We all paid for our Ice Creams and went outside to eat them, sitting in the back of Ashlie's Truck. ( Ashlie indeed has a truck ) We all sat there silently eating while Ashlie is in her own little world. Nick started laughing and said "Even to this day, Ashlie gets exited for Ice Cream" "Shut up!" She said playfully. I finish up mine and threw it out in the garbage "You're done already?!" Ashlie said to me "Yep. Thanks for taking me here you guys" I say "You're welcome friend" They all say in unison then they all look at each other saying "Hey! How'd you know I was gonna say that?" "I was going to say that!" "No i was!" And then they started to argue about it. I laughed to myself as they didn't notice. At least their happy, But why can't I? Soon after that, they all finished and we drove back home, seeing it was 11:01 PM already. Nick and Dawn said their goodbyes to me when they got off at there place. "You don't want to sit up here?" Ashlie asked "No" I can hear Ashlie's sigh and continues driving. My eyes were getting sleepy by the minute while I'm trying not to fall asleep. Ashlie stopped the car in front of my place and I get out. Before I did Ashlie said "If you need anything. Please give us a call or text" I got out and walked up the front door. I see my Mom waiting patiently for me to get home while she looks out the window by the sink in the kitchen. I walk over to her and say "Hey Mum" she turns around seeing me and hugs me tight "I'm so sorry I couldn't pick you up! I was still at work and I was worried sick you wouldn't be back" She says "I'm fine. Dawn, Nick and Ashlie brought me to eat some Ice Cream" I say as she breaks up the hug looking me in the eyes "That was nice. I cleaned up you're room so it wouldn't be so messy when you got back- But, you need to be honest to me!" She held up a paper to me and I was in total shock she found it "Tell me who said this!"
It read "You bitch. If you're sick of the world why don't you kill yourself? Haven't you thought of that by now? Come on! You have depression, Anxiety and you might also be Anti-Social! Gee- It sure sucks to be you. By the way- Don't show up to Bri Masses party on Friday. Ha-Ha-Ha you'll embarrass yourself in front of everyone- especially Bri too. Make your decision weirdo"
I looked away from my mom not answering "Tell me! Please" she says a little louder "I-Don't-Know" I really didn't know who sent this note "Be honest!" "I am!" I say back. She sighs and said "I'll believe you but if you find out who this is, tell me" and she went back to her cooking. I stood there as I saw her keeping the note. I turned around and started walking up the stairs to my room. She really did clean my room. The bed was made neatly. The papers on my desk were in one neat pile to the side. My books were all placed back on the shelf. My clothes were removed from the floor and in the laundry basket. My photos were hung above the bed and basically everything is neat in place. I took a seat at the edge of the bed, sitting there for awhile until I saw a notebook open to a page with a letter in there. I reached over to it and looked at it
It read "Hey Cory, Ashlie, Nick, Dawn and Tommy! You guys are really awesome friends to hang out with! I can't wait for school to come up soon. I just wanted to send you a letter for our friendship and I wanted to say one last thing before I send this to you. Say Life comes around once, so I'm going to do whatever makes me happy, and I'll be with whoever makes me smile"
I smile to myself saying "You're right about that Jon"
