A/n so I've been slowly writing this story over a few months and I've finally decided to post the first chapter! This chapter is kind of just a small over view of some of the things that have happened in the last six years.

Raven stood, gazing down out of the large window stood on the ring. Everyday single day after waking up, she would come here and look out, down at the blood orange coloured Earth that she had once lived on.

Getting down there was a struggle. She was desperate to find a way to get down to the ground after her boyfriend, Finn, had been sent down as a test subject to see if man kind could survive down there after the Earth was destroyed 100 years ago. It should have been her sent down there due to the fact that she had committed a crime, but Finn knew if she was caught she would be flouted, so was send down for a crime that he hadn't committed. She had worked along side Abby Griffin, a respectable member of the council now trapped down in a bunker, to built her own pod out of some old scraps she had found. She had almost been busted by guards twice, but thanks to Abby she was able to launch it without any trouble.

That was five years ago, and they had been through a lot since then.

But now here they were, 7 people stranded in space with nothing to do for yet another year.

That's when they could return home, to Earth.

She craved to feel the dirt covered ground, and the sensation of leaves crunching beneath her boots, the gusts of wind that would send shivers down her spine, and her perfectly, slick back ponytail flying around . The air had always tasted blissfully sweet, but now all she tasted on the ring was Monty's green green goodness, which was actually horrendous tasting algae that had once put Murphy in a week long coma
Next to where she was standing by the window was the room that had once been Clarke Griffin's old bedroom before being forced into imprisonment for a treasonous crime. Bellamy immediately recognised this to be her room by the drawings scattered along every inch of the walls, and claimed it as his room.

Just like Raven checked out of he big window to see how the Earth was looking everyday, Bellamy would try and connect the little radio he had found in a room, down the radio in Octavia's bunker.
He's been doing trying everyday for four years; so far all he had managed to receive was static, from the dead radio down in the bunker.

Raven assumed he did this as a coping method to Clarke's death, although Octavia never answered the radio, he still called everyday, possibly to distract himself from the pain and guilt he felt from leaving the person who he loved behind.

Monty slowly walked up behind Raven and stood beside her, as he gently swayed his baby side to side in an attempt to make him fall asleep.

Raven looked down at the small child in Monty's arms, and flashed him a big, happy grin as she stroked his arm.

She had hoped by now that she would have had a baby after all this time up here, or at least have had a relationship.

But there was nobody for her up there.

Bellamy never wanted to be with anyone, not after loosing Clarke. Monty and Harper were still happy together with their baby.

And then there was Murphy.

Murphy was a different story.

"I thought he would have stopped trying with the radio by now." Monty said referring to Bellamy.

Raven looked over to him, "I don't think he ever will. Could you blame him?"

"Not really, but it's been four years. I don't think the radio will ever connect." He sighed.

"Someone has to try and keep hope alive, Monty." She smiled, stoking the babies hair and then walking away.

She walked down the long echoing halls of the ring to find where everybody else was,
somehow being in space made the pain in her leg more bearable, maybe it was due to the lack of gravity or maybe it was just getting less painful as time went on.

She walked into their eating room and saw Echo and Harper sitting around the table. Echo was teaching Harper Trigadesleng, Raven was a fast learner so she was able to pick up the language quickly.

"Hey guys, have you seen Murphy anywhere?" She asked them.

Harper sighed and stood up to face her, "He's gone somewhere with a flask of Monty's moonshine again."
