Nearly 30 years after his father's death, Nuebiko had created a family of his own. He had a beautiful family at that.
He had his Queen, Sharna Greythorn. A mage with quick healing abilities, cute charm and amazing sword skills. He had been attracted to her since they first met, as he had been dating her even before his father died. She's Nuebiko's soulmate.
Then, there were his two daughters. Sylvia and Skylar. Both mages, very agile and are both very close. The two train together and both share interest in Archery and Spellbooks. On occasion, even Sylvia can best her mother in a fight with spells. Sylvia, of the children is the oldest.
And lastly, the three little troublemakers. His three boys. Noburo, Naruki and Orinaka. Nobu, Naru and Ori for short. These three are very close and are inseperable. Oddly, they haven't found their powers yet either. They all love playing together, and playing pranks on the butlers, maids and their family. Noburo is the youngest of the brothers, and the youngest of the children.
As the years went by, Skaarf had found a mate. They named them Lanturn, for at the end of her tail is a ball of yellow light. They both are medium sized, nor larger then sheep.
Nuebiko is happy with the family he has and looks forward to the future. He also looks forward to dinner. He's rather hungry right about now.
Nuebiko makes his way to the dining area with Sharna, and sits down where Ari used to sit. Sharna sits at the opposite side if the table. The chef rung the bell, signaling the children to come for dinner. It was common they had to do this, since they like to be everywhere but the dining room.
Skylar had come down first, as usual, followed by Sylvia. The brothers had all came down at the same time, running to the dining hall. Each took their seats, and the chef had come with their food. Meat, and salad this time. Nobody had any problems, and so they ate.
"So, what did you do today boys?", Sharna asks.
"Noothiiing...", they say in unison. A giggle shortly follows.
"Hm... Alright", Sharna looks at them with a suspicious face, and turns to Skylar and Sylvia. "And you two?"
"We studied some more spells. There's a floating spell I'm trying to master, so I can float the book in front of me and I can flip through tge pages without holding the book." Skylar says, chipperly.
"What she said," Sylvia says.
"Eventful as always", Sharna says.
"Is that all you do? Just study?", Ori asks.
"What's wrong with studying?" Skylar asks, not loosing the chipperness in her voice.
"It seems and sounds boring to be honest... But that's just me. " Orinaka says.
The family finishes dinner, and they are going to bed soon. The brothers go upstairs, to their room, the sisters walk down the hallway to their room, and Sharna and Nuebiko, both go to the grand bedroom upstairs.
On Nuebiko's way to the bedroom, Rosamine from the Royal Guard had come to them with news. Her facial expression filled with concern and urgency.
"You look worried. What's up?" Nuebiko asks.
"I have bad news, and you certainly aren't going to like it. There have been sightings if Netherworld Creatures scattered through Asaro. There's a few Vamps near the docks, and there has been sightings of a few Werewolves near the Tavern." Rosamine says.
Nuebiko's face slowly turned to a face of rage. Nuebiko has kept a grudge against Nethers since they had killed his father. He wanted revenge.
"Send out the Knights and Paladin first thing tomorrow to the bridge. I'll send out a few guards to lookout near the Tavern", Nuebiko ordered.
Rosamine nodded, and went back to her post in a hurry. Sharna's face filled with worry. She looked at Nuebiko, with a slightly concerned face. "Come on, lets get so sleep." she said. She took his hand and led him upstairs to the bedroom.
In this castle, there were vents through certain rooms. There was one vent, that connected to the sister's room, to the grand hallway, to the brother's room. Sadly, this means the brothers could hear their conversation, if they were willing to eavesdrop, and if they were paying attention. Which they were doing right about now.
"Did you hear that?", Noburo said. "An actual werewolf!"
"Yeah, but its from the Nether, its dangerous, and it probably won't last a day, once he's caught.", Orinaka said.
"Your probably right... But they're so cool!" Noburo says.
"Maybe we could go check it out?", Naruki suggests.
They all nod in unison, and can't wait for the next day.
Skylar and Sylvia weren't tired, so they decided to study a bit more until they are tired. Sylvia opened up one of her spellbooks, into one of the Advanced Chapters. She turned to a page with the title: Foresight. She thought aboit trying it out. She asked Skylar about it.
"Hey Sky," Sylvia started.
"Yeah?", Skylar replies.
"There's a Foresight spell... It seems powerful and difficult... Should we try it out?" Sylvia asks.
"Maybe, what are the side-effects?" Skylar asks.
"Well, lets see...", she turns the page to see the list of side-effects. "There is... Headaches, Possible Visions, Burns in The Head...", she goes on.
"Wait, visions?" Skylar says.
"Hm? Yeah, visions. Apparently little images of future events that happen spontaneously." Sylvia said.
"Um... Well, I could deal with a headache or two... Hm. Maybe we should try it!" Skylar says, enthused.
"Alright, lets do it!" Sylvia says, equally as enthused.
The two gather some crystals, and create a ring with various symbols and mystic objects to begin the spell. Sylvia started chanting according to the words in the spellbook.
Videte ne me in posterum
Quid habet
Domine deduc me in futurum
Ut videantur quae de procedit
Sylvia started changing this three times and then future events flooded to her in a fury of images. It left her shellshocked, and still.
"I can't tell anyone of what's to happen...", Syliva whispered to herself. "Sky, can you apply the forgetting potion please? I don't want to remember this.", she says.
"Um... Sure... I'll get the two minute one." Skylar says, and starts to go over to the potion room.
Sylvia sits in the room, worried on whats to come, but relieved she won't remember anything from the spell. She started getting a headache when Skylar had returned with the potion.
