Later that night, Sharna had came home, and Nuebiko had also come after her. Linda explained the boys were feeling ill, and that the girls did splendid work today, and was dismissed. Rosamine returned to her post for a well-deserved rest.
A little while later, the dinner bell was rang, and all the children had went dowmstairs. Orinaka changed clothes quickly before going downstairs, to make sure the scars won't show. Unlike every other dinner, nobody wanted to talk. There was only eating tonight. Nobody talked, nobody questioned it either. The only word uttered that night was "Goodnight", from Nuebiko. And everyone returned to their rooms. Well... Not everyone.
Naruki instead went over to the courtyard to check on Skaarf and Lanturn, if they were there. Which they were. Skaarf greeted him with a warm facial expression, and a slight growl. Naruki smiles at him and thinks. I don't think he's been fed yet...
Naru went over to the bucket that usually holds meat to fees the dragons. There were a few pigs feet left in the bucket, so Naru fed those to Skaarf. Skaarf seemed to only eat a few, saving a few. Probably for Lanturn. Adorable.
Naru rubs Skaarf's horn and walks back inside. He didn't feel tired, so he went to the potion room to get a drowsiness potion. However, the room didn't feel the same. The Mithril was gone. It always felt like the centerpiece of the room and now it was noticeably gone. He realized he should probably replace it.
The problem being, he doesn't know how to craft a potion, and two, the Mithril is among the most rare and powerful potion in Asaro. So crafting one had to be very difficult. He figured maybe asking his sisters. But that would mean filling them in on what they did. Or did it?
Naru walked to their doorway, and knocked on the door, and seconds later Skylar opened the door, looking at him with slightly annoyed and tired eyes. "What?", she asked.
"Um... I accidentally knocked iver the Mithril potion, and it went down the vent... Uh... Do you think you can help me replace it?" Naru asked, putting on his innocent and undeniable face.
She sighs, but after looking at his face she sadly fell for it. "Fine..." she says, while rolls her eyes. "Give me about an hour, you're lucky I have the materials to make one.", she finishe's and slams the door. Naru's plan was a success. He also wonders how she can create potions that easily and quick. Maybe studying is a little more useful than he thought. He went into his room, and fell asleep.
Morning came, and well... Nuebiko was knocked out, he was tired from yesterday. Sharna was up early and took cooking in her own hands today, and the girls were already at the table.
"So, I recently learned a little trick that enhances the flavors in some of the fruit from the garden... Who knew that a few healing herbs could make the blueberries pop?" Sharna said, while plating blueberries on the plates. Skylar and Sylvia were enthused.
There were alot of fruits to choose from, and some sweet bread from the farms to go with it. The three are quickly, and prepared themselves for some magical battle training.
The boys were upstairs, but only Nobu was awake. Naru told him the Mithril should be back in place in the morning, so he went to check there first. Sure enough, the bottle of Mithril was back, in its glamorous gold bottle and shimmering silver liquid inside.
Nobu went downstairs, and saw his mother and sisters eating. He walked over, waved at everyone, took a sweet bread and ran off before anyone opened conversation. He wondered what was going to happen today, and he ran into the great room.
He wondered if he should wake his brothers up, but he heard light footsteps coming near the staircase, and heard them trail into the kitchen. He figured it was probably one of his brothers, and peered from the doorway. It was Naruki.
Naruki coincidentally did the same thing Noburo did, and the two ended up in the same room, however it felt slightly weird. Orinaka was upstairs, and the one who would finished the trio was missing. He didn't normally sleep in, not like this.
The two both remained in the room, both feeling each others thoughts and emotions. They knew something would have to be done, and what's going to happen, since the werewolf had gotten to him. They ran upstaors to go check on him.
The sisters and Sharna finished breakfast and had went out to the courtyard and commenced the battle. Sylvia, spellbook in hand, and Skylar, spellbook floating in front of her, were ready for battle. Sharna had waved a wooden stick, similar to a wand, and a bolt of light had shot out quickly at Sylvia.
On instinct, Sylvia ducked and evaded the bolt. In return she sends a golden bolt of light at Sharna, and Skylar chants a spell that had filled the courtyard in a flavescent light, with occasional golden and blue bolts sparkling in the atmosphere. The atmosphere had charged the airborn bolt into a supercharged bullet, and it grew in size the longer it flew.
A medium explosion had occurred in front of Sharna, yellow smoke had fulmianted in the explosion range. Sharna stepped forward, unphased. There was a golden shield in front of her. It had faded into particles when Sharna whisked the wand in a flurry of directions. She smirked and she whisked the wand again, sending a flurry of electric thunderbolts at the both of the girls. The terrain had fueled the bolts and sent the flurry even faster.
Unable to react to such speed, the two got blasted into the air. Unlike Skylar, Sylvia was able to recover herself in midair, and in midair casted a spell to keep herself in the air, and to keep afloat. Skylar however, couldn't catch herself, and her back landed hard on a wall. The shock had caused her spell to stop, and the electric terrain had dissipated.
Sylvia casted a healing verse on her sister, making any damage she felt, healed. Taking advantage of how Sylvia is taking time to heal her sister she starts chanting a spell that started to make a golden glow around her body. Golden spheres started to rotate around her, each covered in golden flames. A giant ring had formed behind her, spinning slowly, and a staff, with a bronze rod and a golden colored crystal had appeared on top.
A blazing aura had emitted from her staff, and the crystal glowed streaming gold through out the yard, forming a golden mist. The air had become heavier. Skylar and Sylvia realized she wasn't holding back today. They didn't call her the Aura Guardian for nothing.
Sharna struck her staff to the ground and a shockwave had been created from the floor, in a ripple effect, causing Skylar to jump. She had formed an arrow out of a silvery glow, and shot an aura arrow at Sharna and quickly, Sharna points her staff at the arrow and one of the rotating orbs went and collided right into the arrow, creating a supernova like shockwave throughout the yard. The yard was filled in golden and silvery smoke. The air got lighter and it returned to normal. When the smoke cleared, Sylvia was standing, in awe, and Skylar floating still, and out if breath. Sharna too was out of breath.
"Alright girls. I think that's enough for today. Amazing work you two.", Sharna says, walking towards them. The girls gleamed in pride and hugged their mother. They all healed up, and restored the courtyard to its normal state.
Nuebiko had walked outside, in slight shock but mainly in smiles. "I witnessed the entire battle, and wow! What a sight!" he exclaims in joy. The girls smiled, as did Sharna. "To even the point where Sharna went to guardian form, wow. Amazing work all of you. If only we can get the boys to finally gain a power or something. Hah.", he says.
The boys were upstairs, however, Orinaka was still in bed. But he seemed be in real pain. He was struggling to keep still, constantly screaming, mood swings and he felt cold and hot at the same time. He was in pain. Ori was not having it.
Naru and Nobu didn't know what to do, but they guessed it might be because of the werewolf. "Go get a potion to ease the pain," Nobu said. Naru went over to the room and grabbed a painless potion. He noticed the Mithril was back in place while he was in there.
Naruki ran back inside and shut the doors again. Naru positioned the vial for Ori to drink, and he only seemed to have a sip. Ori had calmed down a little bit, before started his bouts of pain and screaming again. An inbuing aura, dark purple started emitting from Ori's scar. The scar had started to glow.
The aura had seemed to stream out the window into the outdoors. The sun was setting. Nobu knew it would be a matter of time before their parents would find out. And their father would not be happy at all.
