It was another peaceful day in Beacon Academy as Glynda Goodwitch looked out the window of her office.  Even so, she felt a sense of uneasiness ever since the news of Salem's defeat has reached across Remnant.

A dark cloud began to close in, the new headmaster couldn't help but feel a chilling sensation.

Goodwitch: What is going on out there?

Meanwhile

The dark figure that once waited patiently in front of the ruined temple now roamed the lands of Remnant and walked towards its destination. The figure radiated a powerful darkness within a wide radius, even the grimm were frightened by the immense power. The distance was unbelievable as it was practically half the size of Beacon.

Although another mysterious stranger landed within the swirling darkness and looked at the source of power.

???: (Y/N)... So this means that it has begun...

Thunder roared within the distance and lightning flashed to reveal a person with black hair and a white grimm mask. The new arrival reached for her side and readied herself for combat as she placed a hand on her weapon.

???: If only I was able to learn the truth... Hopefully your child shall prove your innocence...

With Ruby

The silver eyed teen was suddenly awoken by one of the loudest thunderclaps she's ever heard. She looked outside of the bedroom window to find the gray clouds blocking the sun as well as the harsh wind blowing against the trees.

Ruby: I thought it was clear skies the whole week.

Corona: It is strange, isn't it? One day it is completely sunny and the next it looks as if there will heavy downpour.

At the moment, the both of them continued to look outside to observe the strange weather pattern. They simply shook it off and decided to change into their outfits to prepare for the day.

Once ready, they walked downstairs to find one of the former members of your team in a room with a wall filled with newspaper clippings.

Corona: Oh dear...

Ranger looked up from his computer monitor to find both women stepping inside the room.

Corona: You've never ceased to search for her...

Ranger: Of course not... Ever since that day, none of us couldn't even speak to each other. She said that she saw what really happened but nobody wouldn't believe her. Only me and Joanna were the ones that thought she was telling the truth... After that, she just left...

Ruby: Why did she leave?

Ranger only shrugged from the question.

Ranger: Nobody knows... It was strange too... A year before that day, she began to mix up everyone's names as if she couldn't remember who they were. She grew distant... Almost as if she couldn't recognize her own friends anymore...

Everybody grew quiet after hearing about the status of his old friend.

Ranger: It was even more odd when her semblance.... Evolved i guess because she eventually began to copy Semblances themselves and use them for her own. It must have messed with her memory. Thats why I dedicated my life to track her down... I want to help her...

The room was quiet once again until the sniper let out a small sigh.

Ranger: Sorry if i killed the mood there. Why don't i go and prepare breakfast?

He then stood up and quickly left the room.

Corona: Oh that's not necessary.

Ranger: Too late! Stove's already on!

Ruby lightly snickered at the man's attitude before leaving and meeting the person in the kitchen.

Ruby: Hey so umm...

Ranger: I know. I told you I'd tell you more about your parents.

She felt eager to hear more about them as Ranger was cooking food.

Ranger: Pull up a chair. I'll start sometime after we all met your mom's time.

Flashback

(Y/N): I'm in position what about you guys?

Ranger: Same.

Snow: I'm Ready!

Joanna: In position!

The radios went silent for a little bit until a small explosion was heard in the distance.

Ranger: Seriously?! You couldn't wait for the signal (Y/N)!!

(Y/N): Woohooooooo!!!!

Ranger shook his head with a light chuckle before placing his sniper on a certain spot and looked through the scope.

Ranger: I'll kick his ass later.

(Y/N): No you're not!

He didn't even realize that the microphone was still active before shutting it off and began to concentrate.

Meanwhile you were already charging at the cave infested with grimm and drew out one of your weapons.

(Y/N): Come on you girls are missing out!

Both of your other team mates leapt out from their hiding spots and matched their speed with you.

Joanna: Why couldn't we do this the other way?

(Y/N): ... I may have accidentally dropped the detonator...

Ranger: Dumbass!

Snow: Lets just get this over with please.

You laughed as your double edged sword somehow lit itself on fire, without the use of dust, as you ran towards the horde of grimm. Joanna readied her shield and sword, activating the dust cartridge to channel lightning across her blade. Snow simply readied herself with her white kukris and quickly shifted her eyes to find the best plan of attack.

The sounds of distant gunshots can be heard, signifying that Ranger is taking care of the tougher grimm as well as thinning the numbers.

(Y/N): Let's go!

To be continued!

... I just realized that this is going to be the first long story I've done in a while...
