Chapter 6

"Umm guys, the big rock dude is waking up!" The voice shouts leaving me confused. I look around and stay confused as everyone scrambles. Without realizing it, I latch onto Keith's arm causing him to glance down at me and awkwardly pat my head.

"Everyone get back to your lions," Shiro commands and starts running. I blink and frantically skim around for Dex who was busy commanding soldiers. I reach for him and fail due to Keith scooping me up and beginning to run off.

"I'm sorry, princess," he says and holds onto me, "You'll be safer with one of us-"

"Hey! I was going to be her knight in shining armor," Lance chimes in causing me to blush. More like I'm his knight in shining arm-

Zoey yawns and mumbles, "all you did was save him from poisonous vines." That's how I discovered you imprinted on him, dummy!

"Lance," Keith sighs, holding me tighter, "now isn't the time!"

I hold onto him not knowing what to do. All I wanted was to hide being protected by Dex but here I was being carried by an emo dude with a mullet. I would've preferred Lance, but I did latch onto Keith so it makes sense. Keith continues to run as I try to hide in his arms. The only time I've ever been this scared was when my grandparents were still alive. That's a long story. I think he noticed because he tightens his grip on me.

We make it back to his lion where I find myself holding onto the back of his pilot chair. He glances back at me to make sure I was okay before taking off. I squeal and hold onto the chair for dear life.

"It's okay, Princess," I hear him say and loosen my grip on the chair, "you're safe now."

"Zona," a familiar voice shouts as Keith helps me out of his lion. I glance in the direction it came in and run toward it.

"Audrey," I cry and hug her tightly. She hugs me back and carefully rubs my back as I cry. Audrey holds me and starts humming like she used to do when I was a kid.

Audrey hums and responds, "shh... it's okay... I'm here."

"Princess," another voice shouts as it runs to Audrey and I. My ears twitch and my body begins to tingle, instantly knowing who it was, Lance. "Princess, are you okay?"

I quickly wipe my tears and nod, "I'm okay." I take some deep breaths before peeking up at him. I try to stand up but stumble. Lance catches and holds onto me causing a blush to form around my cheeks. Audrey notices gasps a bit.

"Zona... did you imprint-" She starts to say but I interrupt her by shaking my head repeatedly. She stares at me and smirks a bit which results in me turning bright red and hiding my face.

"N-no," I say and pause, "I did not."

"Imprint?", Lance asks raising an eyebrow in the process. I blush more and blink, getting a whiff of his scent.

"Blueberry..." is all I say before getting lost in his scent. He smelled like fresh blueberries with a hint of ocean. It was honestly, calming and not overwhelming like other scents.

Lance stares at me and raises an eyebrow, responding, "blueberry?"

I blush and hide my face a bit. "You smell like blueberries," I mumble and glance up at him. He blushes a bit and stares causing me to bite my lip.

"Blueberries, huh? Well, then I guess I'll just have to be your blueberry-" Lance begins to say but gets interrupted by Pidge.

"Lance," she says, "stop making her uncomfortable. Princess, are you alright?"
