AvaViolet Presents: New Book Sneak Peek "Best Vacation Ever"

Hi everyone! For those that don't know me, I'm AvaViolet (some of you know me by my real name, Jessica), and I'm a Teen Fiction writer here on Wattpad! I started writing my first book "She's With Me," when I was 17, and because of all my amazing readers, it's reached number 1 in teen fiction countless times, has over 81 million reads, won a 2016 Watty, and The Teen Fiction Awards for "Best Teen Fiction." Also because of my readers who I love so much, I won the 2016 Writer Awards for Novelist of the Year and Wattpad Writer of the Year! (Low Key dedicating this post to you guys because you're just so awesome I can't put in it words).

For my very first Wattpad Block Party post, I decided share a sneak peek of a new book I'm working on, called "Best Vacation Ever."

Story Blurb:

Due to last minute circumstances, best friends Laura and Fayanna get to go on a trip of a lifetime to Cuba, with Faye's older brother and his four charismatic friends. Having just graduated high school, Laura is ready to relax and read on the beach, while Faye's ready to party. Of course, neither is ready for what actually happens on this trip, especially since drama sticks to them more than their own shadows do.

Laura is a people pleaser. She always wants to make everyone happy even at her own expense, and doesn't like attention. So when she suddenly finds herself the object of attention of Faye's hot older brother Adam, and Dean, a jaw-droppingly handsome guy who most likely saved her life, she has no idea how to navigate the arising situations.

Faye is basically her opposite. She's confident, speaks her mind, never gets embarrassed, and loves being the center of attention. She loves the idea of getting to party in Cuba, especially since Kellan is coming, the guy who's kinda sorta her 'friend with benefits,' and who also happens to be her brother's best friend, who still doesn't know about the two of them. But does she want to keep being Kellan's secret fling? Does she want more from him? Or does she want to forget him and sleep with every hot guy on the island? She really can't decide.

Told in alternating first person point of views, there will be cheating, lies, secrets, betrayals, hilarious and memorable characters, and everything you absolutely love reading in a teen fiction book.

Sneak Peak: (Excerpt from one of the chapters)

Laura's POV (at the airport)

And that's when I see him, standing with a group of guys talking to Adam.

Instead of brushing it off and playing it cool like a normal person, or even stopping dead in my tracks like a normal but slightly more awkward person, I react in complete Laura fashion: I grab Faye's forearm and pull her through the nearest door.

I'm 100% sure our transition was neither graceful nor unnoticed.

"What is your issue, Laur?" Faye asks once the door safely separates us from the group of (probably now confused) boys.

"That was Sexy Gym Guy!" I exclaim, my heart beating erratically as if it can't decide whether to be extremely excited or incredibly terrified.

"What are you talking about?" Faye asks, putting on her best 'dealing-with-Laura' face.

"I'm talking about the incredibly good looking guy from the gym who saved my ass the other day, happens to be the very same extremely good looking guy talking to your brother!"

Her warm brown eyes widen in recognition, "No shit!"

She starts to push the door open to take a look but I quickly pull her back in.

"Don't go out there!" I order.

Please, God, tell me he's not coming on this trip with us. Or maybe tell me he is? I don't know which one I'd prefer. I've already got Faye's hot brother to worry about making a fool of myself in front of. I don't need another hot guy to make me worry about my every move. But then again, hot gym guy plus the beach equals a whole lot of eye candy running around shirtless...

Faye rolls her eyes at me. "Yes Laura. Let's just stay in here all week. Who needs to go to Cuba when we can just spend all our time enjoying the scenery of this beautiful ro—"

She cuts herself off as she looks around the room for the first time, which gets my attention, because Faye is never speechless.

I follow her gaze and...yeup... of course.

That's a row of urinals.

And that's a bunch of very confused men staring back at us.

I feel my face heat up and I know I probably look more like a tomato than a teenage girl.

Faye recovers a lot faster than I do.

"Yeup," she looks around the ceiling and room as if examining it. "Everything seems to be in order here. We'll report this back to our supervisor."

She grabs my arm and starts pushing me out the door. "Carry on."

I pull her through the rest of the way before she can keep talking, and the door closes behind us.

"Supervisor?! Carry on?! Really, Faye?" I honestly don't know how she comes up with these things.

"What?" she defends, not even a bit fazed. "It was better than standing around gawking at a bunch of men with their pants practically around their ankles."

"Oh, God. I'm so embarrassing," I groan.

A sly smile grows on Faye's face as she looks in the near distance with a mischievous gleam in her eyes. "Oh, the fun is just getting started, Sunshine."

I follow her gaze and see her brother ruining his perfect face with a frown aimed at us, and the other few boys studying us.

"You're right," Faye says without taking her eyes off the group. "Sexy Gym Guy DEFINITELY earned his nickname."

"Faye!" I exclaim, not because I disagree, but because we're almost at the group and they can probably hear us.

"Oh, don't get your panties in a twist," she grins at me, making zero effort to lower her voice, "I know you have first dibs."

Before I could say I didn't want 'dibs' on a human being, Adam takes a few steps to meet us before we reach the group.

"What were you two doing in the men's washroom?" he asks us, seeming annoyed.

"Supervising," Faye answers without hesitation and I reflexively slap her with the back of my hand.

He rolls his eyes. "Whatever. Can you wierdos at least try not to embarrass me in front of my friends this week?" he says lowly, and I glance at the four other guys just out of earshot a few feet behind him.

Faye pouts, "But I wanted to have some fun this week too."

"We'll be on our best behaviour," I add before Faye can piss him off. "Thanks again for letting us come."

His captivating green eyes give me a onceover as if trying to decide if I'm lying or not.

"Whatever," he grumbles. "I'll introduce you."
