Melting for you

Discovered

Ember woke with a start, not a minute after she lay down. She raced from the cave and flew to a small town called burgess. Manny didn't tell her why, just to go there. She wasn't sure why he couldn't talk to her while she was awake, but she didn't really mind. 

However, she could only think about what he said. Ember wasn't sure when it would happen, but she definitely wasn't expecting it to be now. She stopped just outside the town and looked up from her perch on a tree branch. 

"Thank you" She whispered at the moon, before turning to the town and flying to a rooftop. It was strange, being out in the open. However, she wasn't about to pass this up. Manny finally told her that it was time...no more hiding.

Ember hopped from roof to roof, searching with her eyes. She had to find him before they did. After half an hour, she spotted a blue hoodie disappearing over the edge of a roof. Golden sand was floating into windows all over.  She hopped onto the roof and peered over the edge to see Jack frost in a defensive pose.  

"Hello, mate" twangs a familiar aussie acent. Ember recognizes it immediately, and Jack turns to face the corner of the building.

Dammit, They must've sent him to fetch jack, she thought to herself.

Ember moved the the corner, carefully looking down to see the 6 foot tall bunny leaning there with his boomerang. "Benn a long time. Blizzard of 68 I believe? Easter sunday, wasn't it?" Bunny says to jack. Niether have noticed Ember yet.

"Bunny, you're not still mad about that...are ya?" Jack jokes, and she remembers the 'dissagreement' between the easter bunny and the frost spirit. She has to resist the urge to giggle.

"Yes..." bunny steps forward threateningly, but backs off again, inspecting his boomerang. "But this is about, somethin' else...fellas?" Two yetis come up and grab jack from behind, stuffing him into ared sack. Ember, once again, has to resist the urge to laugh as they toss the sack through a magic portal. They look to bunny and one of them grumbles something in yeti language. "Me? Not on your nelly. See ya back at the pole" He stamps his foot a couple times and disappears into a hole in the ground.

When he's gone, the yetis shrug and dissapear into the portal. Ember rushes in behind them, just before it closes. She keeps close to hide behind the yeti's back and avoid being caught as they enter the workshop. She hears the guardians talking with one another, and she takes a deep breath. 

"Oh yeah, I love being shoved in a sack and tossed in a magic portal" Jack says, probably in response to something the others said. Ember covers her mouth to keep her giggles at bay.

"Good, that was my idea" North says, clearly oblivious to the sarcasm. Before she could catch it a giggle escaped from her mouth, and a yeti looked over spotting her behind his friend's back. His eyes widened and she pressed a finger to her lips, pleading with her eyes. He seemed reluctant, but his eyes softened and he nodded slightly. She mouthed him a thank you, and went back to listening. 

"...and sandman, Sandy! Sandy! Sandy wake up!" North said, lightly bumping sandy with his hand. The yellow man woke with a start before waving at jack in introduction. 

"Hey, Ho! Anyone wanna tell me why I'm here?" Jack said, glancing around and swinging his staff. Ember wasn't sure when the right time to reveal herself would be. She grabbed a little Lego off the ground and tossed it at the other yeti's back. He turned to look at her and raised an eyebrow, glancing at the group that was still talking, completely oblivious to her presence. 

She jerked her head towards the group and pointed to herself and to them, he seemed to understand. He raised and eyebrow and pointed to the ground now? She shrugged, why not? Suddenly music started and horns began to blow. The yeti in front of her began to move away, and she ducked over the balcony, clinging to the edge. She heard a slam and the music stopped, a cold wind rushing through the wind.
