Seraphina's POV Clary's phone starts ringing but she ignores it.
"Clare," I say, "are you going to answer that?"
She looks at me and shakes her head. I see Jace lean over and whisper in her ear. She shrugs as we reach the hotel. We all head to the rooms and her phone starts ringing again.
"What?" she asks answering it. I look at Jon and Seb with wide eyes.
"I'm busy," she says before hanging up the phone.
Clary's POV My phone starts ringing again.
"What?" I ask answering it.
"I need to talk to you," he says.
"I'm busy," I say before hanging up the phone. I notice everyone staring at me in shock.
"What?" I ask them.
"Who was that?" Jon asks me.
"My past," I say, "don't worry about it."
I walk towards my hotel room. I go in and go to the bathroom. I lock the door and let the tears fall.
"Clare," I hear Jace say, "let me in."
"Not right now," I say.
"Clare," he says, "I love you."
I start crying even harder at these words. Why does he have to say them now? Why does my past have to come back?
I wake up in the bathroom and look at the time. I head to the boys' room and knock on the door. Sebastian opens the door and see my face is red from crying. He comes out and wraps his arms around me.
"Rissa," he says, "what's wrong?"
"Jace told me he loves me," I whisper.
"What's wrong with that?" He asks me.
"Because my past is back," I say.
Sebastian's POV "Because my past is back," she says and I know exactly who she is talking about.
I remember how hurt she was because of him. Now he is back and I'm going to protect her.
"I won't let him hurt you again," I tell her.
"Can I sleep in your room?" She asks me and I nod. I open the door and let her in.
Clary's POV The next morning I wake up to see Jace looking down at me. That's when I remember last night and my conversation with Sebastian.
"Where is Bastian?" I ask Jace.
"Talking to Seraph and Jon in the hall," Jace says.
"That's just lovely," I mumble as I get up.
"Are you alright Clare?" Jace asks me and I nod. I walk into the hallway.
"Alright gossip circle knock it off," I say to my siblings before going back to my room.
"What's going on out there?" Izzy asks me when I step into the room.
"My mom and Luke call it the gossip circle. It's when we have sibling or band meetings. It usually involves gossiping about someone," I explain to her.
"Who are they gossiping about? Is it about whoever is back?" She asks me.
"Wait what?"
"Sebastian came in and told Seraph that he is back. Who is he?" She asks me.
"My past," I say before going into the bathroom.
I change into my outfit for the interview today. A purple dress, black leather jacket, and black combat boots. I pull out a can of purple spray on hair dye and spray every inch of my hair.

I step out of the bathroom and see that everyone else is waiting for me. I give them a slight smile.
"What in the world did you do to your hair?" Jon and Sebastian ask at the same time. I laugh and roll my eyes.
"Let's go," I say as I grab my purse and Izzy's make up bag.
Time skip to the end of the interview
"Who was that song about? Your original that you sang?" The interviewer asks me.
"It was about someone who I used to be in love with," I say.
The interviewer ends the interview and I get up. I walk around lost in thought. That's when I bump into him.
