Chapter 6: Can't blackout

"So we have a misson. To shatter to bricks the town Meskira in Tu'la." Ein explained to five people in front of him, those were Aaron, Katelyn, Zane, Gene and Aphmau.

"Zane will take the East gates, Katelyn gets South, Gene and I are on the West gates and Aphmau and Aaron are on North. We are going at night. Stealthness amd queit are priority, Katelyn... Aaron, for you, prioritize to keep Aph safe, understood?" Ein said, sitting down at his desk, all nodded except Aphmau.

"What will happen if anyone dies?" Aph asked. "Don't worry. Me, Aaron, Zane and Katelyn are death card, dying from a human is impossible." Ein answered, laughing a little.

Aphmau's P.O.V.

I think I asked a stupid question. As we all exited Ein's office Katelyn came up to me. "Listen, Aaron can sometimes blackout for a minute because of something he wouldn't tell me. So look after him for me?" Katelyn said to me with a bit of worry.

I nodded. I can't loose his trust now. I ran to Aaron and wanted to grab his hand but backed up from that idea. He stopped and turned to me. "Aphmau, you needed something?" He asked quietly.

"Can you really blackout in the mid of battle?" I replied, he nodded shamefully. "I blackout from bloodlose..." He answered my question. "Does Ein... torture you?" I questioned. He turned his head away with the same cold face but I could see the pain laced through.

I intantly knew why his eyes and face didn't show emotions. They were tortured out of him by Ein. I guess he never wanted this life.
But Ein makes him do this things... poor guy... I wanted to take him out of his living hell.

No being deserves that kind of life. If I was forced to kill every day, I would go crazy by now. But why aren't Zane or Katelyn emotionless dolls like Aaron?  I will ask them later. I went back to my room to get ready... I will mever get used to it...

Night. Me and Aaron are at the North gates waiting for the signal. I didn't know what it was, but Aaron knew. The North gates were the most guarded, this is why Aaron is here.

I heard a bell ring and Aaron started walking out of of the forest into to Meskira. As we approached the gates one guard asked us, "May I ask? Who are you?". "Oh, just strangers... nothing more.." Aaron answer. I heard the same bell ring again and then Aaron slashed the throat of the guard in front if him, deeply.

As Aaron smudged the blood splattered on his cheek, three more heavily armored guards ran to us. One came for me but Aaron killed him quickly, even the helmet couldn't save him.

The blood of that guard slpashed onto me too. Aaron had a light, maniac-like grin on his face. He kill the two others easily. "This will be fun..." Aaron laughed, his maniac grin growing on his face. Then I noticed ten knights on horseback.

He ran to them, his speed creating a cloud of dust. Aaron disappeared in it and suddenly I saw blood, lots of it. The dust settled back onto the road, to reveal a scene. Blood was everywhere, the knights were dead and the horses ran away. Aaron was there covered in blood.

"This is all you got?!? The second most guarded town it Tu'la is like attacking an O'kasis guard station! Bring it on, Tu'la!!" Aaron yelled and laughed. I never seen him acting so... maniacally..?

He grabbed me and ran through the gates. He came to the Lord's castle, quickly climbed the wall and yelled from it's top, "Listen, people if this town! I'm the one that destroyed your elite guard team! If you want to fight me, come out! If you want to run, I'm not holding you. Just say to your King that the Death cards are putting check on the chess board!".

People ran away or to Aaron, but those who came to him died. Soon all around was only silence and dead bodies of guards and people. Then suddenly Aaron lost his balance and stumbling backwards, until finally falling.

I ran to him. "Aaron? Aaron! Are you okay?!" I worried. "This time I won't blackout on you, Tu'la! You will see my wrath!" Aaron said, wiping the blood off his cheek.

"Maybe we should stop, you are in no condition to fight--" I was cut off by Aaron. "This won't stop, til I say so!" He replied, standing up and entering the castle. The Lord was sitting on his throne.

"Hi, Lord Megfor! Two months isn't a long time, is it? This time I won't torture you, just kill you!" Aaron said in a cheerful voice with an evil grin. He quickly dragged his bandanna  out of his face and ran to the Lord. The Lord seem to freeze in place from fear.

" ῠlϯῖϻα " Aaron yelled crazily and the Lord dropped dead. "sometimes it isn't fun to kill them in some chant..." Aaron said, back to his emotionless self. He slowly walked to me, almost tripping a couple times. Then suddenly, Aaron fainted. I ran to him and put his head on my lap.

"Aaron?! Aaron!! Wake up!" I shout, holding his face with both hands. He exhales and moves a little. "Are you alive, Aaron?" I ask, carefully, begging for an answer. "I'm.. not that... easy to kill..." His voice quiet and raspy.

He then stood up and walked up to the still warm body of the Lord. The bent down to the Lords arm and... bit... it?? He came back to me, wiping blood off his mouth.

"Let's go to the meeting place, Captain will be mad if I don't bring you on time." Aaron's voice was cold and icy like always as we slowly went to our meeting spot.
