Chapter 18: Plan in action

Aphmau's P.O.V.

I was scared. I trusted Katelyn but still. Guards brought me into room full of maids and wedding dresses. "Choose one dress, M'lady." All maids said in sync.

I looked around and saw the dress I fell in love with:

It was perfect. Even though I don't want this wedding to be good, I sure will take my chance to take a dress with me. Especially this one. It's very beautiful.

I tried to put it on, but couldn't do it without the maids' help. "You look very pretty, M'lady." One of the maids said. I smiled and bowed to her. She looked kinda shocked.

I hope someday I will marry someone I love, really love. But I don't have a loved one, but that's not the thing I'm worried about.

I'm worried that Katelyn won't be able to save me. I don't want to marry Garroth. I know he's a good guy but I don't love him. I will only marry my only one.

Then suddenly Zane busted into the room. "Go away." He commanded to the maids. They all nodded and left. "Zane?!" I almost yelled. "Shhh... I know everything." Zane said quietly, "Don't worry go with it for now and we will make your exit stylish."

"Really really stylish?" I ask with sass. "Trust me style will be overpowering." Zane said that and left my room. I needed to prepare for my 'Marriage'.

I was about to go down the red carpet to Garroth hand in hand with my mom. I looked down at my feet. "What if Katelyn doesn't come in time..?" I thought, but I threw that thought out of my mind.

The doors opened and I forced myself to walk forward to Garroth. I stood in front of Garroth as he smiled. "You look gorgeous Aph.." He said. I didn't smile back.

The priest started to speak: "We are are gathered here to witness---" He was cut off by a slam. All the guests, Garroth and I all turned to the door. Zane, Aaron and Katelyn were standing in the doorway with their weapons in hand.

"Katelyn?! Zane?!? And You?!?" Garroth yelled, "I can understand that hooded guy but YOU, my own brother, Zane!". "Aphmau is a friend. If someone hurts my friends I'll do anything to save my friends or for revenge on the one who hurt them." Zane said with a slight tint of anger.

Aaron walked up to me and picked me up. "I'll be taking this." He said emotionlessly. "Put her down! She is my bride!" Garroth yelled at Aaron. Aaron put me down and suddenly put one of his swords to Garroth's neck.

"Who here wants the lord's son's head?" Aaron asked. Garroth's eyes widdened. "GUARDS!" Garroth shouted, but no one came. "Did the guards before coming in." Katelyn smirked. "Now let's play, shall we?" Zane grinned under his mask and rubbed his hands together maniacally.

"We already terrified the heck out of everyone here so let's just go. You will still need to live here." Katelyn said, like the situation right now was normal. I guess for them it is.

"I can live in the forest easily." Zane answered her. "Let's go, Aphmau." Aaron said picking me up bride style again and walked out of the mansion.

"Was your exit stylish?" Katelyn asked as we walked to my house. "I haven't seen a more stylish exit in my life." I giggled. "And I said that!" Zane shouted to Katelyn still grinning underneath his mask.

When we came home, Katelyn and Zane soon left. That left only me and Aaron here. "Well Zane isn't sleeping in his house tonight." I joked and Aaron nodded. "Hey, look at me." I demanded and he Aaron did as I said. "Glad you are okay..." Aaron murmured.

"Hey, smile." I said and smiled myself. He smiles slightly. "Aaron, come down." I commanded him, with a childish voice. He lowers to about my level and I kiss him. At first he was tense but eased up. I pulled away and looked at him with a smile.

"It wasn't that bad, was it?" I asked. Aaron didn't respond, even though I saw a slight pink tint on his cheeks. Only then I realized that I myself was blushing and for quite a while now.

"Now let's go to sleep, shall we?" I giggled as I left for my room. My days will never be the same because of those guys...
