* Maribel's POV*

I decided to walk back to the common room when I felt a hand grab mine. I looked back and saw George. He smiled at me.

"Can we talk?" He asked. I nodded my head and followed him.

" Look I feel like I have to confess something to you..." he said slowly.

" Okay." I said curious to know what he was going to say but I kind of knew.

"Look, Maribel. I've uhm....liked you ya know..... more than a friend for a long time. I know we are in the middle of a bloody war but will you be my girlfriend?" He asked his smirk on his face. Here was the thing I liked him as well. There was only one thing to do....

" I d love to!" I exclaimed and jumped into his arms. He laughed and hugged me.

" Now ill see you later." He said winking at me and putting me down.

I nodded my head and blushed. Arg! He was so damn cute.

* Later that night*

I walked back into the room that we planned to gather in. I had a bag on my back and my wand in my hand. Later, the twins showed up. Then everyone else did.

" Okay we have to find a way to apparate." I said. They all looked at each other.

" Maybe once we get out of Hogsmeade." Kira said.

" Yes good point. We need teams of two. I figured it'll be easier instead of a whole big group. But whoever cannot apparate then has to go with someone older " I said looking around. They all nodded their heads in agreement.

" How about Jayde and Kira? Fred and Hannah? Or Fred and me. George and Hannah?" I asked them.

" You can go with me." George said. I nodded my head at him.

" So Fred and Hannah. Are we all set?" I asked them.

" What if we get into trouble where should our meeting spot be." Jayde asked me.

" Good question.... uhm hogsmeade but in the tunnel. Ya know the one behind the one eyed witch hump thing." I said with a chuckle.

" Okay! Let's go." Hannah said grinning.

I grinned back at her. George and I were the last ones to go into the tunnel. After it closed, I used my wand light to navigate the path. I saw my friends apparate. So I prepared myself as well. George looked at me and grabbed my hand. I nodded my head. I felt a sick sensation in my stomach as everything whizzed past my head. I felt the ground suddenly underneath my feet as we made it back. I looked where we were. It was an old shack in the middle of no where. I saw Hannah but I didn't see Fred.

" Where's Fred?" I asked her as she came closer.

" He apparated the same time I did." Hannah replied. A couple moments later, Fred appeared with Kira. He looked at bit beat up. We ran up to him.

" Where's Jayde?" Hannah asked him.

" She was captured by Death Eaters. I rescued Kira. But reckon that they are coming to capture us as-" he was interrupted by some rustling behind bushes. I faced the direction and pointed my wand ready for anything. The rustle came from many places. My friends and I put our back together in a fighting circle. Just then five death eaters appeared. I sent a jinx at them. I hit one square in the chest as it was thrown back. Fred and kira were fighting two. Hannah was struggling with the one she had. George took on one. I watched as a death eater came up and snagged Fred. I yelled but they apparated already. I grabbed Kira just before apparating away from the scene.

It was a huge mistake. I didn't even tell my other friends. They probably were struggling already or still. I sighed as Kira and I came to a different place. It was called a 'safe' place. The only memory I thought of was the one where my brother took me after my parents died. Kira watched as I paced around cursing at myself.

" Hey it's OK. There's nothing you could've done. Thanks for saving me." She said with a smile.

" No problem. It's my fault if they get captured! ARG!" I said randomly shooting a spell at a tree in frustration.

" Maribel?"

" yes?"

" let's go find a place to stay or make a home out of." She said getting up.

I nodded my head I mean it was better than getting angry again. Kira and I walked awhile until we found an old building but it was huge! I had my wand ready in my hand as Kira and I entered the building. There were so many tunnels that we probably would've got lost without our wands. I heard a noise from far away and grabbed Kira's arm. I didn't want to risk her getting captured. She collapsed onto the ground and grabbed her head.

" What's wrong?" I asked squatting down to see if she was ok.

".Arg..." she replied gripping her head so tightly. After a couple of minutes, she stood up.

" Another vision." She said slowly. I watched her carefully.

" What was it about?" I replied curiously.

" a saw what is going to happen to us if we don't hurry up and get to the basement. Maribel, they're here. The students I saw it." Kira said frantically. I nodded my head at her understanding what she was saying. There was no time to waste.

We rushed through the tunnels and came to a little door. I looked at Kira and she looked at me and we agreed. I whisper a spell and the door opened. When I walked in, I saw the students all on the ground. They were out of there ropes but they had no energy to move.

" Hello?" said the voice of Draco.

" It's Maribel and Kira. We've come to rescue you!" I said rushing in. Kira stayed by the door to keep it opened. The students all stood up and walked towards me. Jayde ran up to me.

" I'm so sorry! I pushed Kira and Fred showed up and I told him to take her and leave me but he insisted he could apparate with two." She said quietly.

" hey it's all good." I replied with a smile.

We all escaped.

* Back at Hogwarts after they escaped*

" Say who exactly captured us?" Isabella asked popping candy into her mouth.

" not a clue. It's sure we'll figure it out." Replied someone else.

George came back as well as Hannah. Everyone was safe.

" hey Maribel can I talk to you?" George asked getting up. I nodded my head following him.

" I know tomorrow is the last day that we are here at Hogwarts. I'm sorry I haven't gotten to be a your real boyfriend." He said slowly.

" It's alright. I mean we almost died." I said chuckling.

He laughed as well.

He leaned in a little bit and I felt myself lean in.

" Just promise me that this will be special." He said as our noses barely touched. I nodded my head. I closed my eyes as I felt a pair of soft lips go on mind. I wrapped my arms around him and he out his hands on my,waist even though i was short. The kiss was my first kiss.
