The Darkest Hour

The Mysterious Basket

*Hades POV*
I knew I heard the voice. It was clear as day. I have no clue how my mates didn't hear it but I know I did. We were at Hogwarts when I heard it again.
" Please let me go!" a scared voice said.

" Never!" And then all was silent.
I didn't want to tell anyone on what I had heard but it was starting to nag me.

" Hey mate!" said Nico as he ruffled my hair. I looked up at him and rolled my eyes. Jack came at the same time as Nico.

" Remember you told us to be quiet when we were on the train? What was that all about?" He asked curiously.

I didn't want to tell them I thought I would keep it to myself but I had a feeling that they still should know.

" Oh that! Haha nothing." I say with a fake smile. Jack raised his eyebrow at me.

" Alrighty." He said chuckling a bit.

* Next Day*

" What about her?" Nico asked nodding his head to a girl. Jack grinned at Nico.

" She's hot." He said winking towards the girl.

" You're going to catch flies, Nico if your mouth continues to stay open." I said smirking.

" Hey!" He said glaring at me.

" Go talk to her." I said firmly.

Nico rolled his eyes and stood up. He walked over to the girl and started a conversation.

" Wow he actually can talk to girls." Jack said grinning towards Nico.

I laughed a bit and decided to head back to my common room.

" I'll be in my common room.." I said standing up and walking towards that direction. As I got closer to my common room, I saw a basket. It was a basic, plain old basket. Raising my eyebrow, I tried to go around it but it seemed to me. I walked backwards and saw that it was moving by a certain spell. I carefully put my wand on my wand just in case.

" I see you Hades Slater..." said a voice behind him. I shot a spell behind me but it didn't hit anything. The basket kept following me.

I started to walk in the other direction and it stopped following me. It seemed to like staying by common room. I decided to go back go the boys. As I did, I looked up and saw Nico hanging in the air. His eyes rolled back in his head. He seemed to be screaming in pain. His body twitch. I dropped my books and ran to Dumbledore.....
