The next morning Nick, Pete, and Clementine headed out to the lake, while Y/n stayed at the cabin, much to Rebecca and Carlos's displeasure. Y/n didn't let it get to her and talked to Alvin and Luke.

Elliot's POV

I sat outside as the cool air blew threw my blue hair. Looking out at the tree line, keeping a watch out for the dead. I stood up stretching my sore arms and walked into the woods. Kenny left me on look out. Walter and Mathew were inside the lodge, along with Sarita. I disliked her and that cause Kenny to dislike me.

I can't hold it to hard on him. He has lost a lot. Like I have...despite me disliking his girl, we do talk. I did find out that he lost his wife, son, friends, and as he call her, his second daughter. Clementine was her name. He talks about her and a man name Lee a lot.

Like him, I've lost a lot as well. My mother was torn apart in front of me and my sister. I left her and my father not long after the break out and stayed by my pregnant girlfriend, Maggie. Staying on our own for a while, I bumped into a girl, Jane. We didn't stay with her long, considering she likes to a 'lone wolf'.

My girlfriend gave birth not long after we left Jane. I had a daughter. Maggie died after giving birth. I took care of my daughter for as long as possible, but she died two days before I came up to the lodge. She was only 4. I miss my girls, my friends, and my family.

Sighing I checked my surroundings to make sure the dead aren't close by. Luckily their wasn't any near me. Thinking everything was fine I heard a leafs shaking behind me. I turned and saw a small brown wolf with a rabbit in its mouth. It snarled once it noticed me.

I smiled and sat down across for it. He stop snarling and stared and me. Setting down the rabbit, he came up to me, sniffing my clothes. I raised my hand slowly and rubbed his neck. He gave off a huff and land in my lap.

"Your not very hostile for a wolf," I smirked.

He glared and me before jumping up. Before I could figure out what was wrong, I felt something grab me. Shit. I turn grabbing the lurkers arm and neck. Lifting my right leg, I was able to kick it off of me, making me wish I didn't. It's guts spilled out on my foot.

Grabbed my KA-BAR USMC Utility, that was my grandfathers. Using my knees to pin it arms I quickly ended the damn thing. I sighed, brushing myself off. Turning I saw the wolf walk over to me and nudged my leg. I smiled and patted his head.

"Want to help me finish my patrol?"

He wagged his half tail and nudged me again. I chuckled lightly and started to walk with the pup following behind.

Time Skip

Entering the lodge, with the wolf trailing behind me, I was welcome by Walter and Mathew.

"Cool dog," Mathew smiled.

"Thanks," I smirked fist bumping him. "He has been a great help."

"I bet he has," Walter smiled. "He looks healthy."

I glanced at him, seeing he wasn't a thin stick. He was in fact healthy look.

"Uh, I guess so," I smiled. "Looks like he can take care of his self."

The pup yawned tiredly and sat down staring at me. Walter laughed while Mathew chuckled.

"Well, the dead are taken care of," I yawned a bit. "I'll be heading to bed, night guys."

I walked up the stairs into my room with the pup trial in behind me. Falling in the bed I grabbed the closes pillow and snuggled into into. I felt the bed dip a bit. I peaked my eye open to see the pup on the bed, laying next to me. I smiled as he snuggled into my side.
