Not many people cared for the ad. It did bring in two or three more people than usual, but not the hundreds of people that Elias said it would. Then again, Allan didn't really want that to happen. Business was still pretty slow, though, with someone new coming every few hours or so. Allan had been texting his friend named Alexis on the phone. He had recently gone on a month-long vacation to Mexico, and they were coming back soon.
Olivia walked into the store. "Hey Allan, is Elias here yet?"
"No, did you two have something planned?"
"Yeah, we were gonna sit and chill in here."
"Alright, well I'm sure he'll come soon enough."
Allan quickly texted Elias that Olivia was waiting on him at the shop. Elias had completely forgotten about it, and he quickly got ready to go. Allan thought it was best if Olivia didn't know this, that would just be embarrassing.
After a few minutes, Elias came in. "Hey guys, what's happening?"
"Hey Elias, I almost thought that you forgot."
"What? No, I would never forget something as important as this. I was just a little late to the party."
Allan sat back and they the two talk it out with each other. He looked up to the ceiling and started to think about what could improve the shop.
His thoughts slowly started to trail over to Amy. He was still wondering if he still actually liked her, or was he just being dumb. Maybe what Nick said was right. But he wasn't just going to completely give up on love. He knew that there was someone for him.
While Allan was completely lost in his thoughts, Elias tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey Allan, are you dead?"
"Huh? Oh, no, sorry. I was just daydreaming. Did I miss something?"
"Yep. I got me a date in two days."
"Woah, woah, woah, hold up. As much as I'm happy for you, you need to slow it down a bit."
"What do you mean?"
"You can't just immediately be with someone. You need time to build the relationship. That's just how it works."
"But Allan, it's working..."
"It won't always be like that though. Seeing how things are going now, you're going to think you're ready for stages you won't be prepared for."
"... Actually, you do have a point there. Alright, I'll slow it down a bit and see where it takes me."
"Alright. I'm guessing that you're gonna go."
"Yep. I have some paperwork stuff. See ya."
"See you later."
