The Suns golden fingers slipped through the window pains. Birds chirped in the distance, the common room was stirring slightly. Cillian could hear Neil sit up in bed. Matthew's long deep breaths grow shorter, and a yawn erupted from his bed.

Cillian grabbed his blankets closer, trying to drift back into his blissful sleep. After ten minutes of tossing and turning he gave it up. Shivering he climbed out of his four poster, he feet trembling as he walked. He yawned hugely, pulling a pair of robes from his trunk.

Ten minutes later he was scarfing down huge amounts of breakfast, dying to get started on his lessons. Phoenix glanced at him concertedly.

" Are you all right? " she asked, " I've never seen someone eat as much or as fast as Neil. "

" Ey! " Neil protested, his mouth full of eggs. Phoenix rolled her eyes. She smiled and waved, looking at someone behind Cillian and Neil. They both turned. Destiny was waving frantically at Phoenix, an uncertain smile on her face. It wavered a bit when she spotted Neil staring at her new Ravenclaw scarf. She said something to a small, pretty, blonde girl with wavy hair, Who nodded and waved her off, a wide bright smile playing her face. Destiny bounded over to the Gryfindor table.

" Hi, " she said breathlessly, her eyes went from Neil back to Phoenix. almost like a frightened mouse who didn't know where to turn.

" Hi Dess! How's Ravenclaw? " Phoenix asked. Destiny's lip trembled, she glanced frightfully at Neil.

" It's erm, ok. I made some new friends. " Neil stood up abruptly, startling everyone at the table.

" They aren't boys are they? What are their names? What house are they in. " he asked crossly. Destiny opened her mouth slightly, as if she was gonna speak. She paused and shook her head, her expression was suddenly fierce.

" No Neil, they are NOT boys. Their names are Ruby, Teony, and Jezzabelle, and I think you should KNOW what house they are in after all I've been in the RAVENCLAW dorm the whole night. " Neil winced at the word Ravenclaw. His brow furrowed.

"I just don't understand! How can you be in Ravenclaw?"

Destiny shrugged, her eyes turning glassy.

"I don't know, just please don't make me feel worse! It wasn't my decision." her head drooped. Neil's expression softened.

"Yeah, it's not really your fault." he said, almost to convince himself. "Now go off to your Ravenclaw table and eat. " she looked ecstatic.

"Ok!"she squeaked, "see you at break!" She raced to the Ravenclaw table, the blonde girl scooting over for her to sit.

"Nice job," Phoenix complemented, taking a bite of her bacon. Neil stared.

"Wha? What?"

"I said nice job Bucketbrain! You really made her feel better." Neil looked over at Destiny. She was laughing with a couple of kids about her age. Her nose wrinkled, and her hand over her mouth. Neil bit his lip, but nodded, satisfied.

"I guess I did. Wait?! is that a boy--"

" Shut up Neil. Leave her be. "

Cillian's attention span was tested during History of Magic. Professor Binns was by far the most boring teacher he'd ever had. Even rolling a lint ball between his fingers was more interesting than a Binns lecture.

Cillian doodled in his notebook absentmindedly. His brain far from the boring drawl about vicious blood thirsty Goblins and dark wizards. The bell finally rang after thirty dreadfully boring minutes of lecture.
