~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~You know. Most men who are raised correctly learn not to harm women, or children, just from the fact that society finds it wrong and disgraceful. But what happens behind closed doors isn't made known to society, so sometimes the disgusting actions are hidden from the world.
This was Jason's world since he was a young child. Not only was his father an unkind man, but he headed a human trafficking ring that sold men, women and children alike for the pleasures of others or labor on the black market. You would think that being raised in this environment he would grow to be numb to these actions. But by the age of ten, he could no longer stand the sound of the terrified and sorrowful screams of the people being used, beaten, and raped.
So he decided to do something to put a stop to it. Jason slowly collected evidence, like videos and old files and receipts of transactions involved as proof to his fathers horrendous activities. Jason had always been a smart child, and he was making sure that no one, not even his mother, knew what he was doing. It was a way to insure he didn't get caught due to a leak of information. His father and his men weren't above tour tire to gain the information that they wanted.
His father enjoys the painful screams of his slaves, like any sadistic man would. These people were innocent. These people had no choice of what happened to them, and for his father that was the best part. So Jason quickly gathered all the information he needed within a month, so he could rip away his father one joy. Without anyone's knowledge, Jason went down to the police station with all the evidence and turned it in to the most reputed people in the station.
Now, Jason's father was a powerful man, and a well known politician. But he is not very liked by officials as they had always been suspicious of how much money he made. Jason called the most skilled and known officer in the town into a small meeting and of course no one took his propositions seriously.
Until he showed them the evidence.
The officer was completely shocked. The young boy had collected all the evidence needed, to completely convict the man who he calls father. All of it. There's no way he'd get away with a small conviction or without life in prison no parole.
"Isn't this man your father?" He asked, " why are you giving us the evidence to arrest him?"
Jason was a child a few words by nature, so he only said a few words.
"I'm tired of hearing the terrified screaming of my mother and the other people being abused. And I tired of being scared of my father."
Again this shocked the officer. This child had just managed to do what the police couldn't do in a year, within a month. No help and most likely completely terrified of being caught.
"Okay."
That moment, all available officers were dispatched towards his fathers estate, and due to resistance and him brandishing a weapon towards the police, his father was shot and killed. Jason felt relief. He had finally managed to save those people. There were close to thirty ambulances, and each one had someone either being loaded in or being treated. He walked towards the nearest one, which held a girl the same age as him.
And she was crying.
She was a small thing for her age, and she looked like she hadn't eaten in weeks. It worried him and he worried immensely for her health. Her hair was long, tangled and curly but even at this time of night he could tell she had naturally dark red hair. But he hadn't yet seen her eyes and he knew she was terrified.
"Hello, my name is Jason."
He spoke quietly towards the girl, as to not startle her any further.
"What is your name?" He asked."M-my name I-is Enya."
This amused the boy. Due to his high education, he knew that the name meant 'little fire' in Gaelic. He found it ironic, and due to the girls lack of eye contact, he decided to try to cheer her up. Maybe he'd get to see her eyes.
"You know your very strong. And brave." He smiles at the girl and continues. He didn't let the fact that he usually didn't speak for long periods of time stop him. He wanted to see her smile and see her eyes meet his.
The girl slowly raised her head and made to look up but began to shake her head. And she whimpered. He slowly moved towards her sitting down next to her but giving room for the paramedics to continue treating her.
"Did you know that your name means little fire? See even your name is strong just like you!" As he was speaking, she lifted her head and made eye contact with him. Showing her bright green almond-shaped eyes. He smiled as she began to speak through her tears.
"R-really?"
He smiled and nodded his head like a maniac, and the sight caused the girl to giggle. It made the boy smile even wider.
The girl looked shyly at him, and asked a question that made his heart melt.
"Do you want to be friends?"
He quickly nodded his head again making him look like a bobble head on a car dash.
Through the years, tears and days off their lives, they became best friends. After she was finally returned to her family they managed to stay in contact with each other. Her parents and his mother became friends as well, since the husband also did the same to her as he did their daughter. There were no hateful feelings and they became pretty much siblings.
They bickered with one another, they fought and argued. But he always protected her. She was pretty and all of the boys like to tease her, and Jason protected her from it, always making sure she was okay. Even if he got into a fight about it. He was protective of her and he swore to god that any female around him would be protected, as they didn't deserve mistreatment.
