The gym up top/ to the side

Jess PoV
As soon as I got off of my bike and cut the engine, I was greeted by the massive doors that lead to the gym.
Now, one would think that they're just doors it's no big deal right? No.
These doors were made of top quality steel and were semi hard to open. Especially since I'm so small. Add that to my injuries it makes it ten times harder.
Looks like I didn't think this through too much, because I am definitely not going to be able to open them.
I slowly sauntered up to them, wary of the pain throbbing throughout my body. I was going to have to knock, which would then signal that I'm hurt, and send everyone into a frenzy.
I sighed, preparing for what was about to come and knocked loudly as I could on the door. The action caused a flair of pain rip through my chest, and I wrapped my good arm around it. I heard cursing and shuffling behind the door, before I heard rushing foot steps come flying towards the door.
The door flew open and banged on the inside of the gym, while a streak of black hair was suddenly rushing at me, carrying me inside. I struggled in his hold as everyone else rushed to us and he tightened his grip on me in protection.
"Dammit Jess," I heard Adam, one of my trainees call out, " what the fuck happened?!"
Adam was one of the first people that I had ever started training, so he was always the most upset about seeing my injuries as he had had to see it longer that the others. Otherwise he was smiling constantly.
He stumbled over, ripping off his wraps and examined the injuries that could be seen. His chiseled baby face, was contorted in rage, while his hair was a mess from his warm ups on the punching bag.
Those chocolate brown eyes portrayed nothing but worry as he took in all of my injury, but they stopped at my arm where it was wrapped around me in protection. He eyed my arm, and anger snapped across his face when his eyes rose to meet mine.
"Put her on the bench."
His voiced echoed through the room and everyone looked at him weirdly. Usually they just put me in the ice bath, and I watched and gave input from there but I think he realized that I was hurt more than I was letting on. And he was pissed.
As soon as I was gently sat on the bench I looked up at Logan, the one who carried me in, gratefully. Just hun picking me up was a relief off of my injuries. He looked at me warily, and took a step back when Adam walked towards me.
"Shirt off."
My eyes blew wide open. That was new, but I couldn't listen to him as he would see the hand marks from my father. I'm not risking foster care.
I glared at him in silent refusal, and he crossed his arms in front of him raising an angry eyebrow."Jess. Shirt. Off. Now." He almost spat out the sentence and you would think he was pissed at me. But I knew better. He was pissed that I was hurt and not letting him help. Again.
When I refused to move the rest of the guys looked between us warily. Carter, one of the younger of the group slowly stepped forward in a placating manner. He had blonde hair and a well sculpted body. He was one of my best fighters but he didn't fight unless absolutely needed."Guys settle down a bit, Jess please just so as he says," he spoke deliberately and looked at me pleadingly, as to not start an argument.
Fransisco and Jasper quickly stepped forward. They were twins, and both had come into the street fighting business together, and boy were very aggressive yet dorky people. Francisco was darker toned while Jasper was barely tanned at all. So most just believed they were cousins.
"Jess, we need to see all of your injuries you can't just," Francisco began when Jasper decided to interrupt him.
"You can't just expect us to watch you hobbling around like a beaten up hobbit when we can help you."
Of course he targets my height the little shit.
I raised my eyebrow at him in a defiant smirk, "now now Jasper remember who makes your training regimens."
My voice was rough and dry, and all of the boys flinched when I spoke.
"Jess take your damn shirt off I need to see if your ribs are broken." Adam was getting more demanding and more worried. I felt bad but I wouldn't let them dirty their hands for me. Not for my sorry ass.
"It's not broken, it's fine," my voice was tired, and I knew that they would be able to get my shirt off, but I didn't want them to see the injuries.
"Guys." Adam barked out and the others looked at me sadly, yet determined.
"Sorry hun, but we gotta get you healed." Logan spoke and I knew what was coming next.
Arms wrapped around my legs as I began to thrash and kick, while others held down my arms, both to stop me from hurting myself and them.
"Fucking dammit Jess you need to stop you're gonna hurt yourself more," Carter spoke frustratedly as I managed to kick him where it hurts.
I felt my shirt come off and I flinched at the chill in the air. I bit my lip and closed my eyes as I heard a collection of gasps echo through the room.
"Oh my god," I heard the voice of Jameson sob out. He must've shown up during the struggle and came to check out the noise. He was the most like a brother to me, and had lost his entire family right in front of him, so seeing me in this state must be a horrible reminder for him.
I looked up and saw his pretty blue eyes swam with tears. I looked down, knowing that they could see the hand marks on my body. I had managed to catch the looks on everyone else's faces as well.
The few that knew me well enough, they were pissed. I could see it in their eyes that they knew I lied to them about where I got my injuries. While the others like Jameson, Adam, and Logan, were in the middle of trying not to break into tears.
"Jess..." I heard Logan whisper out, his voice cracking, "did your dad relapse?"
Three heads snapped up at this and looked at me in shock. Francisco looked horrified and Jasper looked ready to strangle anyone nearby. But Jameson. Oh god he looked heart broken.
I sighed in defeat, "a few years ago yeah."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YEARS AGO!" Six different voices boomed at the same time and began to curse.
Well shit. They're gonna kill me.
