Olivia woke to the sound of her phone ringing, she stretched lazily and sat up, rubbing her eyes with exhaustion. "It's too early, you better have called me for a good reason," she complained to the person on the other side of the phone. "Oh sorry Liv, just wanted to say that I miss you, how have things been?" The familiar voice asked curiously. "Alright I guess, except one of my sisters killed my gecko so I am shitty with her," she ranted with anger. "Other then that, I'm enjoying the piece and quiet, no noisy children in the orphanage." "That's good to hear your happy there," he felt kind of hurt, did she forgot about him already? Olivia ended the conversation and hanged up, sitting there in regret. She had to move on but doing it that way was harsh. Case sighed as he was left in his bird filled room, he was back to being lonely again, no one liked him, it was even worse now since the incident. Olivia wandered downstairs for early breakfast, with Ocean and Yoshi perched on the chair next to her, eating chopped up apple In a bowl. "What do you say we go for a free flight to see the sunrise," she asked them, perching them onto her shoulders. She walked outside and sat on the swing set hanging from a tree out the front of the house, the birds took off in the air. She watched them with admiration as they flew around freely, "good girl!" she praised Ocean as she came back and landed on her spread arm as she formed a perch. Yoshi came in not long after, she rewarded them with a sunflower seed from her pocket. They where placed on the floor to forage for insects and chew sticks and leaves. "What a beautiful morning" she told herself as the sun rose. Jesse came racing up to her as the door was open, "why are you up so early?" her mother asked as she came over to her, "I spoke to Case earlier, he rang me to see how I was, it didn't go well. I think I just needed some fresh air," she explained sadly, Ocean took off again at that moment, perching in the tree above them. "Sweetheart, don't worry about him, there's plenty more fish in the sea. Her mum spoke as if what she said was her own words but she had heard it plenty of times. "I know but he actually cared about me..." she sulked, "and other boys that are kinder will come, concentrate on school, that starts soon." She replied, getting up to leave, Olivia followed. "OCEAN!" Olivia called to the macaw, she flew down with amazing power, swiftly landing on her shoulder with Yoshi on her arm. Jesse followed along with her tail wagging energetically. They all sat in the lounge room to watch TV, Olivia flicked through the channels curiously, "hey, I found something on Petfinder," the girls approached her slowly, with a box with holes In it. "If its a native animal release it," Olivia asked before opening the box. It was pretty large, big enough to fit Ocean inside. "We wanted to say sorry for murdering your pet so we bought a new companion, its not a reptile but it might help you get over your loss," Jamie commented. Olivia took off the lid of the box, she saw a beak poke its way out. "How did I guess it would be another parrot," she laughed, glancing at the two parrots who watched curiously on the table. "Hello little baby," she softly spoke to it, picking it up and placing it in front of her. The bird looked at her fearfully, "Its okay, i wont hurt you," she insisted. She offered it the last sunflower seed from her tiny pocket, flattening her hand for it to take it from her hand. It placed a leg on her arm slowly to grab it, it started to eat the seed, remaining perched on her. "Well that's a start," her mum was shocked by the transformation already. "What species is it?" her mother asked the twins. "I forgot," they both laughed, "we freighted it from the website to our door," Holly continued. "She's a Eclectus parrot," Olivia explained, without looking at a DNA card or the care guide that was still in the box. "How do you know?" they all asked, "Females are red and Males are green," she smiled simply. "I didn't know that," Jamie gasped, "she is so pretty though." Olivia held her out on her arm, the parrot was calm and didn't show signs of stress anymore. "Did you order a cage?" Olivia thought with worry, "yea its in the garage," her mother had bought it after work. "Toys?" Olivia continued, "I bought a few but we will go later to get her more, let her settle in for a bit." she suggested, Olivia nodded and placed the bird on the table next to the large macaws. She was a lot smaller then them as she was only a few months old. Olivia watched them carefully as her mother went to get the cage. The two parrots showed no interested and ignored her, she tried to get closer to Yoshi to investigate. Coming in closer and closer till she was a beak length away from the older baby. "Hello," Yoshi squawked with eyes on the new comer. "Hello," she repeated a few more times, Olivia giggled. She kneeled over them in case Yoshi attacked but she was fine. "You have to set this up yourself, i have no idea," her mother asked selfishly. "But i can't... its too hard," Olivia was shocked. "Sorry dear, maybe your father can help," she suggested, her father was standing there watching until it was said. He placed himself next to her with his eyes rolling, "alright lets get going."
An hour later they had set up the cage and placed enough toys for the bird to be entertained for a few hours, a rope, a multitoy hanging thing, hanging net and a few wood chews. "Lets head to the local shelter," Olivia asked, holding out a voucher, "but this is to adopt an animal for free," her dad frowned. "I want to use it to forget about my friends and stuff from the orphanage, plus the lady from the shelter down the road from the place knows me and was so nice. They have toys there anyway and everything needed for animals."
