"I gotta know what you two did to get busted." I grin, turning around as I say this to Jasper and Monty. We have been trekking through the woods for a couple hours now and Clarke is way ahead of us being really paranoid as usual, while the rest of us are joking around.
"Sumacs not the only herb in the garden. If you know what I mean." Monty says.
"Someone forgot to replace what we took." Jasper states,
"Someone's apologised like a thousand times. Monty replies making me grin. Those two are cute.
"What about you Octavia? What did they get you for?" Japser grins. The question makes my grin disappear and my serious face look at Octavia's hurt one.
"Being born." She flatly replies before running ahead to join Clarke. I notice Clarke has stopped and is kneeling on the grass looking into the distance.
Curious, I run to Clarke as well. She is smiling and as soon as she see's us, she puts a finger to her lips and points in the distance.
I look at where she's pointing and gasp at the sight of a deer eating grass in the woods. I never thought I would ever see an animal in real life, and it's even better than I had ever dreamed. The deer is even more beautiful than it is in books.
Finn decides to try and get closer to it and begins crawling slowly towards the majestic animal. Suddenly, he steps on a stick breaking it and alerting the deer. It turns it's head to face us and that's when we realise this is no normal deer.
It's mutated. Our gasps fill the empty air and the deer runs off in panic. We all know what did this to the animal. Radiation.

"You know what I'd like to know?"
"What Finn?" I smile to myself. We are still in the endless woods only now, daylight is falling and soon it will be night. I just hope we get to the food when it becomes night so we can have a good meal after all this walking.
Finn rolls his eyes at me. "Why send us down today, after 97 years? What changed?" He continues. This makes me think alot.
"Who cares? I'm just glad they did. I woke up rotting in a cell and now I'm spinning in a forest." Octavia spins around a tree making me grin. God I missed her.
"Maybe they found something on a satellite. You know like an old weather satellite-" Monty begins.
"It wasn't a satellite." Clarke cuts him off grabbing all of our attention. "The Ark is dying."
I wonder how long they've known that yet not told us. Hopefully after I was arrested or I'm gonna feel really betrayed.
"At the current population level there's roughly 3 months left of life support, maybe four now we're gone."
