We are gathered around in camp, outside where Raven has moved the radio which is acting as a TV to watch Jaha make his speech. Today is Unity Day, the day we celebrate the 12 stations basically becoming one.

"My friends, this is a historic Unity Day. Every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined to form the Ark, but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year, on the ground." Jaha says through the radio and I smile, knowing Kane will be down soon.

"Right, after we did all the work." Miller puts, turning to the crowd. "Someone shut him up." I roll my eyes at him, of course having to be just like Murphy used to be, disagreeing with literally everything. Can't these people be optimistic for a day? Gosh.

"You shut up Miller, no one's forcing you to watch." Raven replies, grinning to herself, her arms folded. I grin at her in agreement. Raven seems like the kind of person to love Unity Day. Or is that a little stereotypical?

"Ari." I hear someone say and turn to my right to see Octavia besides me. "I need to sneak out. To see Lincoln." She tells me and my face turns serious. Sounds dangerous, I think to myself. But I know she really likes him and I should help her.

"Okay, I'll try distract everyone." I tell her and she smiles at me. "Your the best. Thanks Ari." Her grin bright as she then runs away, near the gate. As everyone continues to watch the live broadcast, I think to myself of ways I can distract them, none coming to mind.

"Whoo! Yeah! Monty strikes again! Hey! Call this batch Unity Juice! Who's thirsty?" Jasper calls, holding a can of alcohol Monty made, basically doing the whole distracting job for me. I grin and take out my empty canteen, running towards him. He pours it in mine, almost filling it and then goes around to everyone else. I walk away from the crowd and look over to the gate to see it close and Octavia is nowhere to be seen. I hope she's gonna be ok.

I look back down at my canteen and drink some of the alcohol inside. It burns my throat and tighten my face. It's ok. Not the nicest drink I've ever had. But it is unity after all, I think to myself and shrug before drinking some more.

"You're not gonna get this one." I say to Fox laughing. It's evening now and I've been drinking all day, so it's fair to say I'm a little drunk.

We are sat around a table doing something so silly that I've literally forgotten why we chose to do it. But whatever.

"Yes I am." Fox laughs, squinting at the pot and holding a piece of metal in her hand.

"No it's not happening." I laugh, tilting my head. But Fox bounces the metal into the cup and everyone cheers.

"Okay, okay." I say with a smile and tip the cup with the metal into my mouth holding it between my lips, raising my eyebrows.
