Chapter 8

                I awoke the next morning only to find Eve jumping on my bed yelling at me to wake up.  Startled, I sat up only to collide heads with her making me see stars. Groaning I put a hand to my head and felt a strange tingle in my mind. Shaking my head I pushed it away, thinking it was just the after effects of banging heads with Eve.

                "Damn, Luna, that is one hard head you have there." Rubbing my head I glared at her.

                "You wouldn't have banged into my head if you hadn't been jumping on head." I said emphasizing all the 'you' and  'my' in the sentences all the while glaring at her.

                "Oh someone's touchy in the morning."  

                Grumbling a bit I sat up and leaned against the headboard, Eve came over and sat next to me leaning her head on my shoulder.

                "I miss him all ready." She whispered, as though it was a great weakness of hers.

                "Me too." I found myself saying.  Suddenly the door was flung open revealing Finn and Ron holding hands. Ron had a phone up against his ear and was talking animatedly to the person on the other line, while Finn was looking bored. He sat down next to Eve and struck up a conversation about the cutest celebrity, while Ron came over to my side of the bed and handed me the phone. Giving him a confused look I took the phone.

                "Hello?"

               

                "Kitten! Are you okay? I felt some pain from you, then when I tried to mind link you, you didn't answer. God I was so worried. Do I need to come back? Because I will if you need me. Just say the words, babe, and I will drop what I'm doing, get in the car, and come home to you." Jon sounded desperate. Biting my lip to keep from giggling, I noticed the three werewolves in the room were doing the same. Ron seemed to have flat out lost it and was rolling on the bed in laughter, until he fell off and hit the floor with an 'ooph'.

                "Kaila?" His voice was deadly serious,  and I realized I still hadn't answered him.

                "Jon, I'm fine. First of all, Eve just woke me up and we accidentally banged heads. Second, I didn't know that the weird tingly  feeling in my mind was you trying to link with me. And third I would love for you to come home, but you have a job to do and people to protect. So suck the shit up and be a fucking man and don't come back until you've put those pups in their damn place" I snapped the phone shut and looked wide-eyed at it. I cannot believe I just talked like that! Hearing laughter all around me snapped me out of my trance and I joined in with them.

                "I- ca-can't believe that y- you talked to Jon like that!!" Eve was hugging her sides and wiping tears from her eyes. When the phone rang again, the caller ID saying it was Jon sent all of us into hysterics again.

                "Ron, answer it and put it on speaker phone, I want to hear this." Finn said, handing the phone to his mate with a kiss. Ron quickly did as he asked.
