Love Me Harder

Chapter 8

Perrie POV:
We reach the hospital and I feel like a ghost. I feel as though I'm not even there. Jesy holds my hand and thankfully there are no paps around because it's the middle of the night and they have no idea what's going on and in all honesty neither do I.
The lady at the desk tells us that we can wait in jades room but she isn't there at the moment because she's been taken off for a full body scan to see if she has any internal damage and then possibly to surgery if she needs it.
As we walk to the room which we were told, there is a woman who I would say is probably in her early thirties sat outside the room. She's wearing a nurses dress so I assume she works here but then I begin to wonder as we walk down the corridor why she is just sat there and then I remember the ladies voice on the phone saying she was a nurse and that she was on her way home.
As she sees me and Jesy walking towards her she stands up and flashes me a pitiful smile, I try my best to smile back but my eyes are still full with tears which are threatening to spill at any minute. "Hi Perrie..?" She says softly as we get closer. "Hi, are you Rachel?" I ask. I already assume it is but I don't want to make any assumptions. "I am indeed, I'm the lady you spoke to on the phone earlier. I'm sorry I had to bring you such bad news. A doctor assured me that although they were taking Jade for scans that she was stable and her injuries did not appear to serious." She moves along the row of seats for me and Jesy to sit down and I have never felt so thankful to see a complete stranger in my entire life. She just seemed so lovely and I was just thinking that the ,world needs more people like her these days! "Thank you so much Rachel! I don't know what we would have done without you, who knows how long Jade could have been there for" in that moment I just feel the urge to hug her. I lean forwards and wrap her in a warm; well not so warm seen as I'm still wearing my wet clothes hug and that's when my tears fall. It's weird hugging a complete stranger because we're usually kept under such tight security but this is different, this is completely different. She just saved my girlfriend from god knows what and I will never be able to thank her enough!
I try to compose myself and sit back up straight as Jesy also gives Rachel a quick hug "honestly we are so thankful!" Jesy smiles. Although she is evidentially sad and worried for Jade, she is doing well at holding herself together and appearing slightly more composed than myself. "Your very welcome girls, you don't have to thank me! I was just doing what any good person should have done" she squeezes my hand and then stands up slowly "however I believe I have done my job here and I will leave you girls in peace. I really wish the best for yourselves and especially Jade!" This woman was honestly one of the sweetest I have ever met! "Thank you so much Rachel" I stand up and give her a quick hug again. "But oh before you go.. could I please have your phone number?" I ask her sweetly. "Of course you can darling" she then takes her phone put and gives me her number as well as her address and email and she is soon on her way. I have no doubts that I want Jade to meet her one day soon because she's been so helpful and all around fabulous!

Jesy POV:
Rachel had just left and she was honestly so lovely, it's just a shame Jade couldn't have met her and that we had to meet her under such unfortunate circumstances.
Now she had gone me and Perrie were left in silence once again waiting for Jade to arrive back from wherever she had been. As time goes along, Perrie begins getting more and more agitated and impatient, she's kicking her leg as they are crossed and I can see her fiddling with the rings on her fingers which is one of her habits when she's nervous or worried about something. I put my freezing cold hand on hers which is equally as cold and just hold it there for a moment. She looks up at me and gives me a weak smile "you don't have to stay Jes, it's late and your probably freezing" she says quietly. "Are you joking Pez?! I'm not leaving you here at least until Jade wake up! Yes I'll admit that I'm cold and tired but I know you are too so we can just get through this together okay? I'm here for you Perrie and I'm not leaving!" I smile and pull her into a tight hug. "Thanks Jes" she Mumbles into my shoulder and I can feel her shaking but I'm afraid at this moment in time there was nothing more I could do other than be ere for her and giver her lots of hugs!

30 minutes later:

Perrie POV:
Jade has finally arrived back and I have never been so happy to see someone in my whole life! Just seeing her face again makes me feel better. Although, it doesn't look like the real Jade I know. She's hooked up to so many machines and her face is pale, her eyes are hooded with dark circles and she is covered in cuts and bruises. I still don't know what has happened to her but I can't help but wonder what the eat of her body must look like if her face looks like this.
The doctor then comes into the room and asks if he can have a word with me in private about the injuries Jade has sustained. I tell Jesy to stay with Jade in case she wakes up because I definitely don't want her to be alone when she wakes up!
We go into a small quiet room and that's where the doctor begins to inform me of jades injuries. "Your friend is very lucky Miss Edwards, she has no permanent damage and nothing that can't be fixed. In surgery we realigned the broken bones in jades arm and we used a mental rod to hold them in place, her arm is now in a cast and should heel well over a period of a few moths. She had two broken ribs which will be sore for a while but unfortunately there is nothing we can do for that other than prescribe Jade some medication for the pain. And as well as that we ran a test on Jade s we didn't know what she had been through, this was a urine test to check if rape or any other sexual assault had been inflicted and I'm afraid to say that test came back positive." That's the point where I do t think I can take anymore, to hear that my girlfriend had been raped.. that's possibly the worst thing he could have told me. I just sit silently with my head in my hands not wanting to cry in front of him. "I know that's hard to hear Miss Edwards but I assure you that Jade will get all the help she needs mentally as well as physically to recover from this ordeal. We will know more once Jade wakes up what had truest happened to her." I nod slowly as I take in his information. " thank you.. can I please get back to Jade?" I ask. I want nothing more than to cuddle up with what and just to hear her voice again. "Yes of course. We predict that she will wake up anywhere from around now and within around 6 hours." I leave his room thinking about so much. 6 hours?! That's takes us to around 9am, I really hope she wakes up sooner rather than later.
As I get back Jesy is sat in the chair next to jades bed just watching her. I walk in and sit on the side of jades bed and hold her hand automatically. "I'm here baby.. I'm here" I mumble as I break down in tears. Jesy puts her arm around me and just let's me cry which I think is what I needed. "She's been raped Jesy.. some fucking Prick raped her!" I cry out. "Oh Perrie..." Jesy sits there in shock and I know she cannot find the right words but just for her to be there is enough for me. "She'll get through this pez, she's strong and she's a fighter, you know that better than anyone" although I know what she's saying is true, I also cannot help but feel like this is too much, how can anyone recover from something like this.

2 hours later:
I have my head resting gently on jades leg as I drift in and out of a light sleep. Jesy is asleep in the chair and I don't blame her really but I'm finding it impossible to sleep right now. I feel a nerve in jades leg twitch as it has done a couple of times now. I got my hopes up the first time thinking she was waking up but of course she wasn't. I wasn't that lucky.

Jade POV:
I begin to feel a weight on my leg and that's when my eyes flutter open slowly. I don't know where I am. As my eyes try to adjust I can tell just from the touch that this is perrie. This room looks very much like a hospital room. Shit what's happened?! Then the memo ties come rushing back like I'm being hit with a ton of bricks. FUCK FUCK FUCK...
"P-Perrie..?" I stammer, almost not being able to get my words out. She lifts he head slightly and her red puffy eyes light up. "Jadey... jade!!" She almost whisper shouts. I don't know what has happened fully but Perrie is here and she's happy to see me so things must be okay! Perrie will always make everything okay for me... or at least she had until now...
