Chapter 21

Li Mei's POV

Xiao Ming arrived and we decided to play Candyland.

"Where did we even get this?" Qin Qin asked, taking a seat next to Qian Xi.

"I don't know. It was the only board game I could find." Junkai shrugged.

Wang Yuan tries to shuffle the cards, resulting in a big mess.

"Clumsy."

We eventually stack the cards into a pile and we all pick a pawn.

We place the pawns on the start square.

"Youngest goes first!" Qin Qin shouts, taking a card.

Qin Qin moves ahead.

Wang Yuan takes a card and moves a pawn.

"Hey! That's mine!" I whine.

"That's for taking my food." He sticks his tongue out at me.

"You guys are so childish." Junkai rolls his eyes as Xiao Ming giggles.

After awhile, and a lot of arguments:

"Junkai! I think you're cheating!"

"How did you even get there, Xiao Ming! You're cheating!"

"Wang Yuan! Stop moving my pawn!"

"Qian Xi, you're not supposed to do that!"

"Hey! It's my turn!"

We eventually finish the game. Guess who won?

Surprisingly, it was Wang Yuan.

"How did you win?! You must have cheated!" Junkai argues. He had gotten 2nd place and was a bit ticked off that Wang Yuan had beat him.

"No, I didn't! It was a fair game!"

"Alright, guys! Let's clean up! And go to sleep!" Qin Qin says, putting the board back in the box. Xiao Ming, Qian Xi, and I help her as Junkai and Wang Yuan continue arguing.

We put away the box and I go to my room.

I get ready for bed and look through my notifications.

I reply to some comments and private messages and put my phone on the nightstand next to me.

I yawned and drifted off to sleep.

Wang Yuan's POV

I woke up at around 9:30 and went downstairs for some breakfast.

Junkai had already woken up.

He was frying some bacon.

"Ooh! Let me get some!" I peered over his shoulder at the bacon.

"No way! Make your own breakfast! This is mine!" Junkai said, shifting his body to cover my view.

"Meanie." I pouted.

At around 10:00, the others had woken up and came downstairs.

"I smell bacon." Xiao Li said as soon as she arrived downstairs.

She hurried over to the table and grabbed a piece of bacon.

"Hey! That's mine!" Junkai tried to grab her hand just as Qin Qin and Qian Xi each grab a piece.

I laughed.

"You guys are so rude." Junkai rolled his eyes and took a piece of bacon.

We finished at around 11:00.
