"It's just so freaking hard," Iris complained over the phone. After the boring few days at school, the Clique members seemed to, again, lose their interest in me. Although the few days after the dispute with Zack were calm, it did give me a chance to finally catch up with everything outside of school.
"That's what happens when you try to cram all of your study years into a short time," I scolded my cousin over the phone. I leaned my back against my couch and kicked my feet into the air.
"I can't help it, school just sucks in general so I just want it all over," she spoke back. "The sooner the better."
"So that's why you're only taking course classes instead of going completely into a four year college?" I asked.
"Yup, the less education I need to get is just fine with me."
"You are definitely going to eat those words in a few years," I said with a chuckle.
"You say that now, but just wait until you see how much I've gotten better with drawing. And I'm even better on the computer. I'm going to be an amazing graphic designer, just you wait," she said triumphantly.
I let out a small chuckle, rolling my eyes at my cousin's confidence. My front door squeaked open as my friends walked through the door and soon Alex and Jack appeared in the living room. I was sure the rest of the gang was probably here as well, but they probably jetted it up to my room to grab bean bags.
"I've got to go, but I'll call you later," I said to Iris now as Alex walked closer.
"Yeah, you better! It's been too long," she complained.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I teased. "Love you, bye." I clicked my phone off and sat up as Alex and Jack both fell onto the couch on either side of me.
"Who was that?" Alex asked.
"My cousin, Iris. She's just been complaining to me because she graduated out of school early this year and in some college courses that she's, apparently, sucking at."
Alex chuckled lightly at that. "How come you never talked about her before?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Me and her haven't talked that much lately, I mean, ever since I got a life." Mike and Jaime came walking into the room with, as I predicted, bean bag chairs in hand. "We're pretty close, though."
"She hot?" Mike asked now.
I rolled my eyes at that. "Well, first things first, you probably don't have a shot with her; she likes bad boys. And, yes, she's beautiful."
"Bad boys?" Mike asked with a pout. "I'm a bad boy."
Jack let out a loud laugh at that, shaking his head. "You sound like you're talking about some kinky crap, or whatever."
Jaime snickered at that and Mike just continued to pout his lips at that.
"It's been way to quiet lately," Jack complained now. "I'm just aching for a fight."
I frowned at him for that, but decided I didn't want to start an argument with him about it at the moment so I chose to ignore it. "Who wants pizza?" I asked, changing the subject quickly. I hated when they all got onto the 'fight' topic because all it did was piss each other off.
"Is that even a question?" Jaime asked, shooting up from his seat and racing towards the kitchen before I was even up.
"I'll take that as a yes," I said with a chuckle, standing up and walking over to the kitchen. "What kind do you want?" I asked as I opened up my freezer.
