I stood up from the chair as Nina skipped off,

She always put a smile on mother and Father's faces.

I looked at the portrait above the stone fireplace of them. They would have been so proud of the young girl Nina has grown up to be, she is the sweetest girl the village. There was a knock coming from our front door, and before I could go and answer, a tall male wearing armor and a sword on his belt. I made a stern face and spoke to him, "who are you? And where are your manors Knight?" He looked at me, his face had many scars.

"My apologies, I should have waited for you to answer the door." He turned to me and bowed, I blinked wondering if this man was real.

The knights around here don't bow to others anymore. This man, whoever he is, is certainly not from around here.

"My name is Xavier, I have come to speak to Miranna Reid. Is she here?" I sighed and shook my head and sighed, "no, she passed away a few years ago." He stood straight and looked at me he seemed saddened by the news, "oh, and Argon?" I shook my head at his question. He let out a sigh, "I see," He eyed me, "who are you?" I moved a piece of hair out of my face, "my name is Winn Reid." I said, his sad look turned into a small smile. "it is a pleasure to meet you, I am assuming you are the only child of Miranna?" I nodded, what ever he wanted with my mother, I didn't want my sister getting into it. "Are you sure? Your neighbors said two people lived here." I sighed, "yes, but my little sister is not the daughter of Miranna." He raised his eyebrows, "well then, that was unexpected. Where may I find the girl now?" I slightly clenched my fists, "why would I tell a stranger?" He opened his mouth to speak, but didn't at first, he just let out a long sigh. "You're right, I didn't expect you to tell me so easily seeing as we just met bu-" He was cut off by my sister running in and looking at him, he looked down at her with a smile. "You must be the little sister?" She nodded and stuck her hand out for a hand shake, he shook his hand, "and what is your name?" She put her hand back down to her side,

"my name is Nina. What is yours?" He smiled at her again, "my name is Xavier." She nodded, "nice to meet you Knight Xander." He laughed, "its nice to meet you too Nina." He looked back at me, and I looked at him, "so what did you want with Miranna?" He scratched the back of his head, "well, she and I were friends back in the day, I just wanted to visit her." I nodded, "I can understand that. Well you are welcome to stick around if you wa-" Just as I was about to finish my sentence, the ground started shaking. I grabbed Nina and held the edge of the Fireplace to stabilize us, "do- does this happen often?" he almost yelled, I shook my head, "not in a long time have we had a Earthquake." I yelled back to him.

"Sis!" Nina said loudly, "would a crack in the ground make a Earthquake?" I looked down at her, "it's possible, but you and I are the only two left of the Rein family!" I yelled, then looked at Xavier, he looked at me with fear in his eyes, "A CRACK IN THE GROUND?!" I nodded, "yes, there is a prophecy about the Sister Temples that are here. Long story short, if one of the last known heirs of either family of Rein and Albu goes into either Temple, the Earth's crust will split in two and monsters will emerge turning us into hybrids!" His eyes widened, "SHIT!" He said grabbing the hold of a ledge on the side of a wall. "what?!" Nina grabbed onto my side, "I didn't come her alone, my companion's name is Demetri Albu!" My eyes widened at that name, "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" He shook his head, "I'm afraid not!"
