The dragon walked out of the water, his legs were about 5 feet long and were quite muscular. He started heading for his Temple, "come with me inside and I will tell you the story before my temple and The Goddesses' Temple was built." The dragon was immensely long, when he put his head inside the Temple, the tip of his tail was still in the water. We all followed him into the Temple, the inside was humongous, the golden engravings and symbols were in the inside, and there was a large ledge at the top of the inner roof.
I guess that is where he normally sleeps? It looks long enough. Granted that Gods need to sleep...
In the middle was a large fountain like bowl of water, the dragon laid down and wrapped his tail around the bottom of the bowl. His front legs laid in front of him and his head was held high, "before me and the Goddess had temples, the City of Aons was full of Demons, Nagas, and of course Humans. Though there was a vas difference between the three races, the town was still happy and thriving. But eventually, the Naga race started to die off, so they looked to me, they wanted to be guaranteed safe travel when they went into the water, so less of their population would die. I did, I protected them in the water, but it wasn't enough. The Nagas were still dyeing. So they looked to the humans, eventually hybrids were running around the town." My eyebrows furrowed, and I shivered. "But- how did that work?" Demetri asked, Arvyntyr giggled, "its actually not all that different with how the two races reproduced with their own race." I shook my head, "please don't talk about that..." I said, he nodded. "Of course, but you have the right to know how you came to be." I blinked and looked at him, "wait- you're saying that I come from Nagas?" He nodded again. "Yes, the Reid family started out as Nagas, and after 13 generations over the count of 1300 years, you are now who you are. You did notice that your skin is tougher than the other humans in this city, yes?" I stood there in awe.
yeah, I remember not getting hurt as easily like the other children I used to be with...
I nodded, "yes when I was a child, I used to fall a lot, but I never got hurt like the other kids around me." Arvyntyr made a face that looked like he was trying to smile, "you have skin from your Naga ancestors, they had scales that were tough, and even if you don't see your skin as scales, it is just as strong as their scales." I looked down at my hand, "I see." Looking back up at the dragon, he looked at Demetri, "and the Albu family came from Demons. That is why your eyes have such a dark color." Demetri put a hand over one of his eyes, "now it all makes sense..." I said, Arvyntyr looked at me, "good, I am glad you understand now. But there is still something you should know, there are two reasons to why Ruine cursed the temples. He was also angry with the first one of the Albu family." Demetri took his hand off his eye and looked at Arvyntyr, "why?" Demetri asked, "because he tried to force the city into demise due to him wanting the Goddess to be the leader of the city, and he went too far. He started to experiment on his fellow Demons, and turned them into monsters."
