Demetri started pacing, "I knew that the story was too good to be true." He then cursed under his breath and looked at me and my sister, "I am so sorry, makes me regret listening to the town drunk." I shook my head, "well, it looks like you two are going to share the fate as the rest of the people here in this village, especially you." I looked right at Demetri's eyes, he took a deep breath, "well I always wanted to live on an island full of monsters." He said sarcastically, I rolled my eyes, "well we should get this over with, when will it happen?" I looked around, "I honestly don't know, the Mage didn't say anything about a time..." I looked at my hands, and they looked normal, my skin tone hasn't changed, nor have I grown spikes or claws. "Xavier you know more about Magic then I do." Demetri spoke again and I looked over at Xavier, he rubbed the back of his head again,

Wow, he does that a lot.

"well, if the Mage was talking about turning all the people in the village into hybrids, it could happen now, or it could happen days from now. I don't think the Mage would have it happen after about a week. So I would say, from now till a week maybe?" I nodded, "I guess that would be right, if the Mage was as angry as the Legends say, then she would want the people to suffer like they made her suffer with all of their arguing." I looked back at Demetri, "well that gives us a week to get off the island." I shook my head, "it wouldn't do anything, this is Magic we are talking about, you are the one who went inside the Temple. The magic would fallow you where ever you go. Besides you are a Albu, its your destiny to be here." He sighed, "you're right." I looked up at the Temple,

But how could a Mage wait this long to make the families suffer? Or why? I can imagine two parties yelling at each other every time they even glanced at one another, but if I had that kind of magic, why not just make them mute? It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. I think there is something more going on here.

I thought, "you are correct young Reid." I heard a strange and low voice and looked around for anyone who had that deep of a voice. "Who's there?" I continued looking around, "um we're right here." Demetri said, I glared at him. "You didn't hear that voice?" He shook his head, I sighed.

Not only am I going to be a monster-human hybrid, but I am hearing voices. Perfect.

I mumbled, then my little sister tugged at my pants and I looked down at her, she was pointing out at the sea and I looked where she was pointing, and there was a shadow under the water, I blinked, but it didn't go away. Then a large creature came above the water, its head hung low and it's neck was extremely long. I grabbed Nina and stood back, "no need to be afraid." I blinked again in confusion, then the sun hit its head, revealing, a long golden main of hair and golden scales. Brown horns were on the top of its head, with what looked like metal around the bases of its horns, and on both sides of his nose, there were two long whiskers with tufts of fur on their ends and they were waving. Its eyes were huge and a deep blue.

A- Dragon?????

"What the-" I hear Xavier say, I looked over at him,  "you can see it too? I'm not losing my mind?" He shook his head, keeping his eyes glued to the dragon. "Who are you?" I said too the dragon in front of me looking into its eyes again, "I am Arvyntyr, the Dragon God of the Eastern Seas." Out of the corner of my eye I saw Demetri's jaw drop looking at the Dragon. I felt my little sister let go of my hand, she started walking over to the Dragon, "Nina wai-" She cut me off, "it's okay, he wont hurt me." I looked at her as she got close to his head and put a hand out, "you are the great god of the sea, I knew he wasn't human, I just felt it." The Dragon made a different face, like it was smiling, he leaned his head down and the tip of his nose touched her hand. "It is a great honor to met you God Arvyntyr." He closed his eyes, "its a pleasure to meet you too Nina." I stood in awe of the sight before me, like it was a dream. "Were you the one who saved me when I swam too far out into the water." He took his head away and nodded once, "yes, I have been looking out for you ever since you came into my water. After all you are the daughter of a good friend of mine. He did ask me to make sure you stayed safe if something happened to him." She stood on her toes, "you knew my dad?" He nodded, "yes I did, he came into my Temple every once in a while to keep me company." Xavier spoke up, "wait, how is that possible? I thought if anyone of the two families walked into the Temples the crack would appear..." He looked at Xavier, "Argon is not a member of the two families, he is the great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandson of the Mage Ruine. He has no Reid blood, although he was married to Miranna."

"So, my father really isn't a part of the original family like we were told?" I asked him, "yes, which means you are the daughter of Miranna and your sister is the daughter of Argon. Argon and I saved the lives of you and your mother, Winn, the original plan was just to keep and your sister safe, but they fell in love and got married. Then when you we're old enough, you would know the story before our Temples were built."

A.N: To the people who have read this before the changes, I know it originally said that Argon and Miranna weren't married, but it didn't sit right. So I changed it, and to the new readers, I know it can seem boring right now, but it will get more interesting soon.

And I apologize for all the "greats" but it will make sense soon to why he said so many.
