Olivia's POV

Man my head is pounding as I wake up from last night. I definitely drank a little too much. I'm not normally a big drinker, but last night I decided to let loose and have some fun. I'm paying for it this morning though. Thankfully it's Saturday though which means that I don't have to go into work. I can just relax around the house.

"Ugh I need some tylenol" I say to myself getting out of bed and walking to my medicine cabinet ,grabbing the little bottle and a cup of water. After taking a couple pills and chugging back a cold glass of water I start to feel more awake.

A little more awake or not though my stomach is still turning as I make my way to the couch "maybe I'll just watch some tv" I think. "Atleast until I start to feel well enough to do something else" I lay down on my plush sofa and turn the tv on. There's not much on so I end up flicking through a majority of the channels. I end landing on some paranormal I've never heard of, I'm interested though so I just leave it on.

I never believed in ghosts until I started working at the hotel. I always passed it off as people having too much of an imagination or there being a normal explanation for little bangs and bumps. I'd never seen a ghost or heard anything unexplained so I never really worried or thought about it

That all changed when I started my job at the hotel. My first experience happened when I was doing my normal walk through of the hotel making sure everything was clean and where it should be before I left to go home. I walked into the kitchen to see if anyone was still working, I turned the corner and it saw a man standing in the middle of the room looking lost. When I asked him if he needed help, he looked at me smiled and vanished. I rand out of there as fast as I could and didn't go back for 3 months. I'm still cautious about having to go in there.

I asked around the hotel to see if anyone had noticed anything strange or unusual. A lot of the employees started telling me about the different experiences they've had. From hearing footsteps to smelling cigar smoke to seeing things move out of the corner of their eye. After awhile though it all became something we learned to work with. Sometimes it still spooked us a little but it was nothing more than that.

I was laying on the couch for a couple hours when my phone starts to ring. Looking at it on the table I'm hesitant to answer it but grab it anyways.

"Hello" I answer

"Hey Olivia it's Mel, look I hate to ask but Greg called in again and so I'm short a person. Normally I wouldn't ask but I could use some help" she asks

" Ugh he called in again?" I ask frustrated. "I don't understand why he even wants his job if he's never there to actually do it, but yeah Give me an hour and I'll come in"

"Ah your a life saver dollface! I'll see you shortly" she says

Thankfully I'm feeling better than I was earlier. I get up and take a shower and get dressed for the night shift. Best shift of the day. Not.

An hour later I pull into the staff parking lot and get out locking my doors. I walk into the lobby and a very tired Mel looks up and smiles.

"Thank goodness your here! I can't keep up we've only got 5 rooms left available and between the constant calls for room service and other issues I can't keep up!" she exclaims

"Wait you said other issues? what kind of issues?" I ask her

"Well we keep getting calls from the 5th floor saying they hear a woman screaming but whenever they knock on the door it stops and no one answers. I've sent Johnny up 2 times already but he never finds anything and the room is empty. It's not booked so we have no idea what's going on or where it's coming from" she explains.

"Alright well I'm going to my office to catch up on a few things but if anything else happens let me know, and try to aim a camera on the room in question so if someone does go in we can catch them" as I turn to go to my office.

After about 45 minutes of doing work Mel comes running into my office.

"It's happening again" she says breathlessly " the screaming and I've got it on the security camera"

"Ok good" I say switching my monitor over to the security cameras

" But Olivia" Mel says, " no body went into the room"

Just as I look at her with a confused look I hear it. And the sound sends chills down my spine.
