November first, just two more days, that's when Law said Baby and Pica would be dispatched to take you. Zoro wasn't happy about it and was even less thrilled that he'd have to stay at the Newgate house so that he wouldn't interfere.
"I am not wearing this." He deadpanned as you handed him the hunter green robe and maroon sash, "What even is this."
"Halloween." You replied adding a lighter green haramaki to the pile in his arms, "You always wanted to be a swordsman right? Go put it on I need to see if it needs adjusting before Nami and Robin's party." You shoved him into his room.
"I'm wearing pants under this!" He called clearly aggravated.
"Yes, please do." You hummed back.
His door opened, "F/N.... It doesn't button all the way."
You turned toward him hand covering the lower half of your face hiding your flush as you faked a thoughtful hum. The robe fell open perfectly exposing his bare chest to his rib cage showing off the haramaki as it opened the rest of the way to his waist cinched off by the sash.
"Rock that cleavage." You teased.
His frown deepened, "I look ridiculous."
"I respectfully disagree my moss haired friend."
"Why are you so weird?" He grimaced.
"You met my family." You shrugged.
"Don't remind me." His shoulders dropped, "Besides, what about this says swordsman?"
"Here." You dragged him into your room to look at himself in the full length mirror on the closet door before slipping a plain black bandanna over his head.
He watched you grin next to him in the mirror and dropped his arms dramatically, "I mean if anything ...this feels more like a bounty hunter?"
"Come here." You turned him to face you so you could adjust the sash before stepping out of the room.
He groaned when you returned with the three swords from his wall and slipped them securely through.
"I kind of see it now. But...three swords?" He chuckled lightly.
"You're ambidextrous." You replied with a shrug.
"So?" He rumbled.
"A sword for each hand."
"And the third?" He inquired.
"The third for your mouth to shut you up." You booped his nose.
"I hate you." He snorted.
"Ah yes yes." You adjusted the bandanna, "Except it's opposite day."
"Can I please wear a shirt at least?" He groaned after you removing his costume piece by piece.
"Yes," You tapped your chin thoughtfully, "But it will be of my choosing...and it will be tight." You winked flicking his chest.
"You're evil." He huffed.
"That hurts Mossy." You turned as he removed the robe and reeled you in by your left arm.
He frowned a bit wrapping his arms around you before nuzzling into your hair.
"I'm sorry." He breathed sincerely.
"I... It's fine. I know you were joking." You reached up to touch his face.
In two days you'd be snatched away from this for who knows how long. You guessed he felt guilty for being upset when your time together would be on hold for an uncertain length.
