Oliver POV
I knocked on Mr. Chapmann's broken wooden door, Warren looked around his yard in disgust. To be honest his front yard looked like a dump. His bushes and flowers were wilting, his lawn wasn't taken care of, and there was trash everywhere. Mr. Chapmann's house looked depressed and like it was dying.
"Who is it and what do you want?" A gruff and groggy voice called out.
"Mr. Chapmann, it's the police. We have a few questions, do you mind if we talk to you?" I answered. There was a moments pause before the lock on the door jiggled and the door opened revealing a not so good looking Mr. Chapmann. His eyes were droopy and dark, there were bags under his eyes and he looked as if he hadn't groomed or taken a shower in weeks. The inside of his house looked much worse than the outside, but Warren and I ignored that.
"What is it?" He spoke, his voice sounded hoarse as if he had been yelling for a long, long time.
"Sir, do you know Brandon Smith?" As soon as Warren asked I saw his eyes change from lifeless to furious.
"Don't mention his goddamn name in front of me." He snapped. Warren stood his ground but raised his hand in surrender.
"I apologize. Can you tell us where you were between the times of 10 pm and 12?"
"Why?" He asked as he crossed his arms over his chest. "What's going on?" Warren and I looked at each other before he nodded,
"Brandon Smith was found murdered this morning." Mr. Chapmann's mouth twisted into a sick looking smile. I clenched my jaws together at the sight of his discolored teeth,
"It's about that kid got what he deserved." Warren's breath hitched. I couldn't blame Mr. Chapmann for being happy with Brandon's death, the boy was the reason his only son killed himself.
"Sir, please answer the question. Where were you between those times?" Mr. Chapmann looked at me and narrowed his eyes.
"You think I did this." He stated. "Well, I didn't. I was Louis' bar until 3 am, do you have anymore questions?"
"Yes, do you know anyone else that might have it in for Brandon Smith?" Warren asked. Chapmann scoffed.
"A lot of parents and students have it in for Brandon Smith, you just have to ask the right people. Don't ask his friends what he was like, ask the students he has bullied. Er, should I say had." Mr. Chapmann shut his door in our faces and we shrugged and went back to our car.
"Maybe I should ask Mel what he was like." I said.
"That's a good idea, she might have an honest opinion about this Brandon kid."
"God, I hope she isn't one of those kids Brandon bullied."
"You would know about it." Warren spoke up. "You're the best detective in town." I shrugged and opened my car door while Warren went over to the driver's side.
"But, I'm never home enough to ask her what's going on in her life. She would've been dead last year if the Captain didn't call off that case." The both of us closed our car doors.
"Ollie-"
"I didn't even know she was having such a hard time by herself." I looked at my shoes going back to last year.

Flashback
"Cap are you sure?" I questioned.
"There's nothing we can do here, call it off. You can go home early, I'll take care of the report." Warren bit his lip, I looked at him and saw in his eyes the 'yes' and celebration going on in his head.
