Chapter 12

I closed my eyes as i rested my head on my mom's chest and heard gunshots. I opened my eyes and turned to see Harry towered over Nick's lifeless body with a gun in his hand.

"What did you do?" I asked standing up to see Harry smirk. 

"What I needed to make sure we stay together."

"Harry! What did you do?!" I yelled and closed my eyes as I hugged my brother's dead body. 

When I opened them I was at the gala again. It was a bad dream. A horrible nightmare but I couldn't shake the awful feeling I was feeling as I stared up at Harry who gave me a concerned look. 

"Where'd you go? Are you okay?" He asked and I could hear my blood rushing through my veins and my head was pounding with the sound of my heartbeat. 

"I-" I couldn't even finish my sentence but could feel my heart stop as I tore away from him.

"Leslie what's wrong?" "Don't touch me." I stepped back and looked around for Nick. I wanted my big brother. "I need to go." I walked to the bar and ordered an entire bottle of vodka, chugging it completely and looked around. 

The lights were blinding as I looked for my brother. Harry was infront of me, talking but I couldn't hear a word he said it all sounded like murmurs. 

I looked at the door to see my brother's walking in wearing the suits and tie from my nightmare. I tore away from Harry and sprinted over to Nick, engulfing him in a hug. 

"Gracie? Are you okay?" He hugged me a little tighter before letting me go and examined me. I couldn't talk but engulfed him in a hug again. I wanted to cry, no matter how much I get angry at my brother I never once would wish that upon him. 

"Grace?" Josh asked and I shook my head, burying it into Nick's chest. "Do you want to leave? I can take you home." Nick said looking down at me, griping my face in his hands and pushed my hair out the way. His dark eyes looked into mine and I shook my head. 

"No. I don't want to leave you." "What's this about Gracie?" I shook my head and he sighed, picking me up and wrapped my legs around his waist and we walked to the table infront of Harry's. He sat me down and squatted infront of me. 

"I'm going to say hi to Manny alright?" "No. Please don't leave me. Nick please." I begged grabbing his hands and he looked at me confused. "What's going on with you baby? What's wrong?" He caressed my cheek and looked at me worriedly. 

"Please." My voice was cracking and I let a tear slip from my eye. "Don't leave me please." I begged grabbing the hand that was on my cheek. He looked at my eyes and nodded. 

"Josh." He cocked his head for him and my other brothers to greet Manny to leave us to talk. He waited then stood up straight. 

"Why don't you tell me what's really going on." "Nick please. I don't want to talk about it but I need you to not leave me tonight. Please." "I wouldn't leave you Leslie. I love you with my entire heart and soul but what's going on? I've never seen you this scared in your entire life." He said and I shook my head, looking into the distance to see Zayn and Louis staring at me from the bar. 

"I don't want to talk about it." "I need to know because my job is to keep you safe. Please." "Nick. Just trust me please." I said as Danny, Alex, Derek and Josh came back. 

"Are you okay baby?" Derek asked me, sitting next to me and pressed a kiss to my forehead. "I'm fine." "Nick has to go say hi to Manny alright? I'll be here with you the entire time." Danny said sitting on the table infront of me. I looked up at Nick through glassy eyes and nodded. He pressed a kiss to my forehead and walked away, leaving me with a clear view of a very confused and angry Harry behind him.
