Chapter 22

I woke up to see Harry looking down at me. "You need to eat." "Don't make me. Please." I begged and held him tighter. "Baby. You need to. Please." "Harry." I begged and broke into tears again. He sat up and pulled me to his lap. His back was pressed to my headboard and my back was pressed to his knees. 

"Look at me." He tilted my chin to look up at him and my bottom lip quivered. "What happened?" He asked and I shook my head, hugging him and buried my head into his neck. 

"When I was 16 I was expecting a baby with Michael." I began and held back tears. "Nick was just now starting to build his empire and was pissing off so many people. Baby, he was barking up the wrong trees and making enemies like there's no tomorrow. I was kidnapped for leverage against him because everyone found out about Nick's beloved little sister. They induced my labor and slit my baby's throat infront of me. 2 seconds in the world and the one thing a mother was supposed to do I couldn't. I couldn't protect him." I sobbed and his grip tightened on me. 

"For 4 weeks I was left in a bathtub with his blood in it and corpse next to me. The only time I was able to get out was when they raped me. It's fucked up but I preferred to be raped over sitting in the blood and I felt so nasty to think it and I'm just-" I couldn't even finish before bursting into tears and gripped him harder. 

"Who did this to you?" Harry pulled back and I looked into his glassy eyes. He was crying with me. "I killed them already. After that I became the reaper. I just have this awful feeling every year. This is just not my time of year and I'm sorry for blowing up on you I just couldn't help it." He wiped my tears with his thumb and I put my hands on his as he did so. 

"That's not important right now. You are. Do you hear me? I promise I won't ever hurt you again. I'm ready to make if official if you are. I won't hurt you, I swear it on my life. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked me, voice a whisper as he rested his head on mine and I felt my heartbeat faster. 

"Yes." I nodded and he broke into a grin, taking me with him. He pressed a kiss to my lips and gripped my waist a little tighter. "Finally." He whispered with a sigh and I looked at him funny. "What?" "You're mine." "I was yours for the longest." 

He pinned me to the bed, wrists above my head and his lips inches from mine.

"I'm the thing that comes to haunt you in the dark darling, you should run. Run as fast and as far as that pretty little heart can take you." He growled, lips inches from mine as he tightened his grip on my wrist. I gave him a twisted smile and let my eyes flicker down to his lips. 

"I've never been scared of the dark."

He smirked and pressed a kiss to my lips and flipped me ontop of him. "I love you." He whispered and my heart stopped. "What?" "I love you. I mean it. I've never said that to a woman before, I've never even had a girlfriend before but I'm sure when I say I love you." He said and I almost bursted into tears as I pecked his lips. 

"I love you too." He grinned at me and held my thighs as he stared up at me. 

"Let's go eat. Please." He begged and I sighed. "Please, baby. For me?" He asked and I bit my lip and nodded. 

I heard my phone ring from the bed and I smiled and listened to the ringtone, singing along softly to it. 

"You gotta move it slowly, Take and eat my body like it's holy. I've been waiting for you for the whole week, I've been praying for you, you're my Sunday candy."  I sung and Harry smiled up at me. 

"You can sing?" "No, not really." I said looking at the screen and threw it back down on the bed. It was just Mel calling me. "You sing beautifully. Sing more." He tapped my butt and I blushed.
