Lost/Coronation Day Part 1

~Carlos POV~

It's been about two hours since I stepped into the forest and it feels like I'm walking in circles. Every stupid tree looks the exact same and I'm getting tired, I expected to be walking for a long time but I forgot how humid it was gonna be. I had a map of Auradon and it had a little bit of the forest so I was going through that.

To be completely honest, I wasn't that scared.

Grrrr

I froze when I heard the low growl come from behind me.

After I heard the second growl I didn't waste time to quickly run away. There was no doubt in my mind that that was some sort of dog or wolf or something. I didn't know they had wolves in these woods, this is gonna be harder than I thought. How did Ben do this?

~Jay's POV~

"Hey, Carlos, you missed first period but it's cool because it was a total bore anywa-" I stopped mid-sentence seeing that he wasn't in the room. I thought he might have over slept or something but he wasn't here. Weird. I shut the door and threw my book bag on the table, that's when I noticed a folded piece of paper next to it.

I look at it confused and read the front of it.

To my Best Friends: Mal, Evie, and Jay

I recognized it as Carlos' handwriting and I unfolded it, not knowing what to expect.

You guys, I completely screwed up Ben's life.

I know we're supposed to be evil and all, but being here has made me realize that being good isn't something we should be ashamed of. I'm good and I can no longer deny it.

That's why I've taken off to find a fairy that I know can fix everything, I can't live with this guilt. I'll see you guys later.

I quickly shoved the note in my pocket and took off out the door. What does Carlos mean by 'fix everything'? What is he going to do? What is that fairy going to do? I just need to get to the other three, they can help think this through.

~Ben's POV~

Maybe things with Carlos are looking up, I know I want to get things back to normal but when I think about going back with Carlos, it just feels right. I adjust my standing position and quickly regret it when the tailor hits my leg.

"Stay still, this can't be perfect for your coronation if it doesn't fit right." He says, annoyance clear in his voice. He's been a bit cranky today.

"Sorry," I say more under my breath than anything. I looked down and I could see that he was upset but he was trying to hide it. "Are you okay?"

"What?!" He asks surprised, I guess he wasn't expecting me to ask or even care about him.

"I asked if you were okay, you've seemed to be kinda upset today and I just wanted to know if you were fine," I respond softly and he gives me a slight smile then sighs.

"If I'm being completely honest, no not really." He says and I give him a sad expression. "It's my wife, we've just been arguing a lot lately and it's awful when you know you belong with someone and things start to not work out." I nodded but then a question popped up in my head.

"How do you know you two belong together? I mean maybe the arguing is a sign that you don't?" I suggest and he gives me a slight chuckle and I look at him confused.
